Hope the little one feels better.
I am feeling better with temps in the 65f/19c range today and sunny. Just got off work and it's time to ride my trusty bike along the Atlantic. Busy with the outside workers in full gear and the early tourists taking advantage of the good weather before the summer rush.
Plus, I haz tomatoes! And squash!
Yes indeed! I have a book I peruse every so often I picked up at a yard sale called Forgotten New York which has a list of all these interesting places in New York that were important at one time or another. Id love to tour around the area history hunting

So after crashing early last night due to a case of low-grade hazy dizziness, I got up this morning feeling relatively normal (for my usual not-a-morning-person self) but by the time I got to work I was in full vertigo mode. Got sent to the doctor (thankfully only a few blocks away, and the vertigo was blessedly minimalized while driving rather than walking for some reason) who informed me my blood pressure is way way up and that my recent sinus infection may have messed up a little crystal somewhere in my inner ear.
So yay, on meds and a low-sodium diet, doctor's orders. This is gonna be all kinds of fun.

The crystal thing is fairly common with severe sinus/inner ear infections, I suppose. That's what my problem continues to be.

It's these little crystals that hang on hairs on an organ in your inner ear; the way they hang gives you your sense of "up" or "down."
In outer space, they dangle freely, and you get a bizarre sensation every once in a while of "omg there is no up or down!"

Yeah that was about my morning. Walking along and suddenly the office is sideways.

2762 missed. Y'all are slowing down.
I hope everyone is doing well.
I had to bolt from my project in AZ because Dad is in ICU. Hopefully he will be upgraded soon, but he is looking at a long hard recovery at best.
Take care all!
Dad went in to get some fluid drained for early congestive heart failure, and blew out an ulcer nobody knew he had. It's lucky he was in the hospital, but He was minutes away from dying.
I'm trying to work the problems with my sister.
We are both exhausted.

I only make use of thr sidewalk in an emergency, which looking at the weather today, may be necessary.

My car stopped working, not sure what the issue is. Might be the timing chain?? Just won't turn over. I think I have a full tank of gas too. Been a few weeks. My friend who has been having severe "dizzy" spells and is unable to drive has loaned me her car. She has been putting gas into it and I have been driving her around. Lives in a little town nearby. Well her damned car just sprung a coolant leak. In this heat. Sigh.
Could also be the ignition switch.

So I'm guessing that was you I got a text from? The number came up as Colorado Springs. I discovered it around 11 pm last night, right as I was getting ready to go to bed. Freaked me out a bit.
Positive waves to you and your family.

Yup. Sorry.

A Dorothy Parker quote I saw on Facebook prompted me to look up some more of her quotes. I found one I thought was very funny, more of a joke than a quote. It's a bit dirty, and potentially offensive, so I'll be slightly more decent than normal and put it in a spoiler box.
Q: What's the difference between an enzyme and a hormone?
A: You can't hear an enzyme.

Nah, it's all good. I only freaked for a second. Thought it was something from one of my brothers, but quickly realized the area code was wrong. Once I looked it up, I suspected it might be you, but it was late and I didn't think to confirm.
Hope all is well.

My own father is doing....craptastic. His mind is going. Memory completely f%$+ed. As bad as it is for him, however, it's worse for my mom. Having to take care of him and deal with him is really taking a toll on her.
They may come to Houston for the weekend of 17-18 May for my nephew's first communion. Here's hoping. I know mom wants to see our new house.

It's my Friday at work. Wheeeeeee!
Will see the return of my regular vehicle by Sunday.
I will have an X-Box 1 soon.
Still addicted to Skyrim.
Mom's birthday is Sunday and I'm buying birthday dinner.
She leaves for vacation Monday and I have the week to myself with the pups.
Positve waves to bitter thorn. Hope your father makes a healthy recovery.
Will see the new Spider-Man 2 this weekend, hopefully.
A big pile of Paizo stuff to read.
More Skyrim.
Freehold's weather dominator still had no effect on the Southwest.

My grandfather once had a heart failure while being operated - the surgery was done on his heart (bypases I think) so the surgeon could minimize damage. Grandfather live through that.
