This thread has been slow lately.

That's probably because you're too nekkid. It leads to wind resistance due to the size of your...wings...yeah, that's the ticket, wings.

Also, yesterday was pretty awesome. I went out to a friend's party(someone from these very messageboards, baronaremhasevaum- why he has such an unpronounceable name is beyond me), which was the chivas royal event. Got a bit drunk, but nto overly so, and went home afterwards. Twas great!

Know that feeling. Generally a good time to find something else to do, in my opinion, before you say something you'll regret. Just my 2cp.

Baron Arem Hasevaum, pronounce it like that =)

Yeah. There's a reason I don't get involved in certain discussions. So I think I'll recuse myself.

Definitely read that as "Have a good man."

I know a few good men.

My day is just starting.

Should be studying, but got no motivation.

Hi everyone

Hello. Also, I'm losing my faith in the Paizo forums.

I should be studying too.

Then study!

Certain areas use sand as an alternative. Depends on temps and road conditions.

You should see at the responses to my recent posts.

Everyone just picks a fight with me over the dumbest of things.

As much as I feel like laughing it off, it's starting to get old really fast.

Dude, I hate to be the one to break it to you, but you're not exactly innocent in those situations yourself. I dunno if it's that you're just really touchy the last couple of days or something, but it's not 100% on their end.

Might be time to consider taking a break from the boards for a couple days or something.

I admit I'm stubborn and mostly fueled by negative emotion, but neither of those deny the fact that I do contribute to the topics at hand.

Also, some of those things people bring to their own tables I would simply not accept at my own, neither as a player nor as a DM. That's all.

I guess when you have build a certain reputation on the boards, people will easyer jump on things you say and interpret them in a harshwr light than you might have intendet the post
maybe keep out pf threads that anyone knows will become heated and be as friendlyand helpfull in other threadsyou can change your reputation

Why should I move aside when I'm not the one having constant problems?

I just realized that it would actually be hilarious if I was the one moving away from here.

Everyone else is here complaining about their things, while I've been running a good game recently.

Yet now when I have nothing else to do but comment on other people's darn problems, I'm suddenly a horrible person.

You're also not normally as antagonistic as you've come across in the past couple of days. It's why I'm blaming some kind of stress or anxiety, rather than just assuming you're a jerk, because I know better from your prior behavior.

Heh. That goes for about 90% of things people complain about on the forums. The vast, vast majority of problems people gripe about here are things I've never encountered as a player or GM. I dunno if that just means I've always been with decent groups, or if a lot of these complaints are a weird kind of theorycraft. I certainly have to look with a skeptical eye at a certain subset of frequent complaint posters who come up with the most bizarre, inane-sounding situations they want help with, and I seriously have difficulty actually seeing things they describe coming to pass. "Are your groups really this childish, or is this some kind of weird 'what if' scenario?"

That's what's ruining my bike-tyres. And the bike-shop was closed, so I couldn't even buy a repair-kit... Yay for having to walk 7 hours tomorrow at work.

That actually sounds sort of worrisome, considering I do have anxiety and depression issues, though they've toned down since my dad hasn't been home for the last three weeks or so. Then again, might be the lack of sleep that's been gnawing at me. Either way, those few threads are pretty much trainwrecks right now, so I doubt anything I say now will really fix much. So until stuff calms down, I'll just nom some more popcorn.

Oh man dude, lack of sleep will kill you in the social skills department, I sympathize completely.

I've personally hidden most of those threads myself, my (admittedly not professional) advice is you do likewise. It'll do your sanity good until you can get some decent rest.

The threads died down anyway apparently. And really, I think it's both my recent writer block combined with the last two days' poor sleep that's really been keeping me at edge. I've had multiple different ideas that I keep shifting through, and then I got reminded by an old friend about how many I've either screwed up or scrapped because my attention turned elsewhere. The two book ideas I want to some day publish are in need of revisions, one partially and the other in need of a complete overhaul.

In addition to all that, my father is coming back next week, which means even more misery.

BT, thanks for the well-wishes.

I'm having a great morning, in spite of not being able to sleep much last night.

One week and counting to my certification test for teaching. Time to crack open the study guides again.

I'm heading off to hang out with a pal. Catch ya later.

Oh FML. I just realized that in organizing a different forum's domain listings (for FR), I somehow completely deleted the entry for the Law Domain.

Muhahahah! Three kilograms of apples bought for the price of one or one-and-half!

Truly a master of buying apples! All hail Drejk, king of the apple-buying!

Would you like some cabbages with your apples?

How about some Spam?

Huh, my friend is having second thoughts about running Carrion Crown since he feels he might not be able to run it so well.

He's also worried about being a PC in it since he already "spoilered" most of the book for himself reading through the encounters.

Cabbage, apple and spam stew? Sounds good. Bring them in!

Not wanting to enter politics, but, as many FaWtLies are living in Texas: How serious are ideas about Texas seceding? Is that a fringe idea of a small group of weirdos or would there be a meaningful support among citizens of Texas for such move?

I have watched Despicable Me four times today.

I cannot hear English. Everything is parsed through Minionese.

I only ever visit four threads anymore: FAWTL, What Music Are You Listening To, and my two PbPs. In the 6 years (son of a b#@+&...) that I've been on these forums, I've seen OTD go from the most welcoming internet forum I've ever seen to a barren wasteland of misery. I only stick around because of you guys.

Pretty much this. I occasionally poke around in other forums, probably more than I should, but FAWTL and a small handful of other threads - mostly Cult threads - are the only places in OTD that I visit anymore. Everything else gets hidden almost as soon as it pops up.

I really, really, really, really, really wish they'd just put up a Politics forum where all this stuff could get stowed away, and maybe OTD would go back to the way it was when i first got here.

Amen Shiny, preach it. If it wasn't for FAWTL I'd have locked the OTD up and thrown away the key long ago. As it is, I am wondering if the community here is worth the failed Will saves. Maybe I'd be better off just keeping the PbP section open and triangling up the rest.

I basically have no use for the political threads any more. There are a few people who have sharply different views from mine that I respect, but most of those trolls are a waste of skin and oxygen. It's just not worth my time to argue with bigots that I think are morally and intellectually bankrupt. I'm also not happy about how only one side ever seems to get called out for name calling but the other side can threaten folks with apparent impunity. *shrug*

I basically just stick around for FAWTL too. Alas I think most of the FAWTL activity has gone to facebook. :(

That explains a little of why we don't see certain familiar faces around here anymore. =/

Good Old Games is having a nice sale going on. Buy 5 games from their list for $10. I picked up Geneforge I-V as well as a few others.

I don't think this is true about FB siphoning off some FaWtL posters. I think its more just life getting busy as I haven't seen a lot of posting in other venues either.

As far as the forums go - 95% of my time is spent in FAWTL or PBPs. Too little time available to waste it on mindless arguing.

Speaking of little time, nothing like a 14 hour work day in preparation for taking the remainder of the week off. Tomorrow, we make the 19 drive up to Minnesota for Thanksgiving. I'll try to wave at Woodraven and Justin as I pass through. Sorry CJ - I'm taking the easterly route so I won't be driving through Wichita on this trip.

I'm sorry to hear you're being overworked to make up for time off, man. I was in another thread on another website that was talking about this same topic the other day. It's really getting ugly when you can't take all your vacation days because your immediate supervisor(or maybe their boss) is greatly invested in making sure you never leave your desk under the auspices of "getting your work done".
