So I finally got my 9 month backlog of comics cataloged and put away. I have a longbox and a half dedicated to Green Lantern alone.

Do I have a problem?

you and me too. How has green lantern been? There's been a lot of hype the last two years, but I've always stayed away from DC (I occasionally have a tryst with Batman, but generally make mine marvel) but I recently read one of the major crossovers (the darkseid one) and really enjoyed it. Is GL a good place to hop in and start figuring things out?

I just switched my subscription from my local gaming store to Midtown Comics online. My local store just couldn't get my orders right, they didn't try to keep me up on things, nothing... for like 6 months.

Basically, I feel your pain and yeah, I have the same problem.

GL is fairly kickass right now. Three books, each roughly focusing on a particular lantern, and Kyles role has been significantly reduced. Jump back in, but don't get too attached to any non main characters -being a gl is once again a bloody business.

Some of it.

You have me curious. What do you find palatable?

I would ALSO like to know, since you give me ears full of grief when ever I wear my ACDC hat. :P

If the words 'Nickelback' or 'Creed' are uttered, I will point and laugh.

I approve of you wearing an AC/DC hat, of course!

Nickelback and Creed: Both have one good song that I liked but of course they play their songs a million times on the radio, I hate them now.

:D Yay for AC/DC hat! *goes and changes profile picture*

I am curious as well.

I like nickleback, but more because they sound like a good bar band and well my youngest likes them. Of course he also likes Ozzy, Sabbath, and AC/DC.

I like several songs by Creed, that being said I have heard that Stapp has a huge ego, of course never having met the man I can not say myself, and you also hear that about most "stars" these days.

Well, after the terrible loss of his parents, Bruce dedicated his life to making the world a better place to live by using his vast fortune to ensure the end of "Reality" TV. Meanwhile, being stranded on a tropical island, Oliver was forced to become an expert in using coconuts as projectile weapons in order to protect himself from the fierce wildlife. And, across town, Clark finally consummated his relationship with Lois, only to forget his own strength and.....No, wait! That's my soap opera!

They are ending that one this year.

With regard to Creed, Scott Stapp is a grade A douchebag. And I'm saying that kindly. ;-)

Coincidentally, there's a young Aussie band that sounds rather similar to AC/DC: Airbourne.
Airbourne rules. I don't know any other way to put it. They just rule.

Never heard of them.

I've also got some Avengers, Captain America, Doctor Strange, Ghost Rider (Danny Ketch), FF, Ironman, and other stuff. I've also got a pretty large chunk of the Marvel G.I.Joe.

I've got plenty of DC as well. JLA, JSA, Batman, Detective Comics, other Bat titles GL, DR. Fate, Flash (entire Wally West Run), Pretty much every New Gods series since Cosmic Odyssey, Fables, Sandman, Lucifer, a lot of one shots and specials.....

And I was into some of the Dark Horse Star Wars stuff for a while...

No the first was when I was a teenager and my mother was sick of my "unkept room" She tossed a large, a staggeringly large collection of comics out. I had scored a month before a stack of comics from an old hell-angel who was a friend of my mothers. He gave me about 50 or 60 books including WONDERWOMAN #1!, and it just made it to the trash right before it was picked up. Somewhere buried in a large landfill nearby is what was once a mint condition book worth thousands. ~sigh~

The second was due to my divorce with my first wife. ended up in a storage unit and well, it just ended up with piles of other stuff on top of it and lost. I have but the pitiful remains of what was left after the second purge and the only books bought since have been a mini series of conan books from dark horse and a few for the kids.
