So now Mrs. Sunrise and I are about four episodes in, and this s+!$ is dark. Like, even given my recent trend of grimdark stuff, this s$~# is dark as f&*+. But really good!
it gets really good and really deep really quickly after a long slog.
Some AMAZING performances. But this series is NOT for everyone.
Yeah definitely. Normally I like action flicks and quirky comedies with a happy ending, but recently I've been on a dark spree and I can't wait to see where this story goes. Great acting, great soundtrack, great storytelling -- I'm sure the original author and the script writers are to thank for that!
...And humorously I just IMDBed HM's Tale to remind myself of June's concubine name, and IMDB has grouped it together with one of the most disappointing shows I've ever seen in the category of "Fantasy/scifi series based on novels." (Chronicles of Shannara, I've heard the books are better.)
Are you feeling any better, Tequilia?
I'm feeling better, thanks. Not a fan of needing a machine to sleep -- the mask can be irritating -- but given the alternative it's great to be sleeping again.

Our chairs are here!
And now I'm sorely tempted to have tomorrow night be an, "If you want to play, you need to make your chair" night, but then I would have 6 chairs constructed by impatient teenage boys.
Probably not the best construction strategy ever devised....
Do not do it! It Violates HSE standards!

I'll build them all to IKEA standards for half that price! And plane fair. Also you gotta explain to the General why I skipped out on my dental work.
Oooh! Half of nothing plus plane fare! Sounds like a bargain... oh... oh... wait!
I KNOW MATH!!!!
And I have foiled Captain Yesterday's nefarious plan!
Thank you, Math, for saving me!

I went to complain on the thread, and they point out that you can bookmark http://paizo.com/community/forums and it looks very much like the old page...
...except no sidebars and no off-topic discussions! Boo!

Does anyone else have a severe problem with the font?
I... I never actually believed in the statement "this is causing me physical pain" as anything other than an exaggeration, and to some extent it's not... well, not pain, exactly, but it's really difficult to read, and unpleasant in the extreme.
Like, I find myself typing with my eyes closed a lot, and/or looking away from the screen for much of my typing.

I've given my feedback in the appropriate thread.
I'm rather surprised by the number of people who seem to like the new design. Apparently I'm already too old-fashioned or just too resistant to change, if this is "modern web design" I was pretty happy with what is apparently now "out of date".
I might take a few days off the forums and come back later and see if I feel more positive about it. =/

Helllppppp! I had trouble finding this thread even! I am so confused with the new layout I don't know what to do!
*flails helplessly with paws*
Um... go to your browser search bar, hit "p", and wait for it to offer your top auto-fill options?

*sigh*
I am seriously not enjoying the obscurity or absence of my super-handy focused view of all activities Messageboard . . . . I now have to jump through hoops to find what I used to be able to pull up with one url on my phone's browser . . . .
Tentatively: FAIL (but probably the result of ancient technology, lack of tech-savvy, and sleep deprivation rather than a problem in what's been done . . . . For the record.)

"Modern web design" belongs in the same bin with "modern art".
My favorite was a pages-long essay from a modern web designer about how the plebian who asked for a "Print" button on his web page obviously had NO IDEA how information display worked, and he tried to explain it to the man but the man was just too dense, and kept saying stupid things like, "The only reason someone would navigate to this page would be to print it, so the print button should be RIGHT THERE."
It was an amazing cacophony of conceit, cluelessness, and 'art' that just made me understand a little bit more why modern web pages are unnavigable seas of empty space and colors, with not a navigation clue to be found...
