Well, that gives you time to get dressed.

If it takes me more than five minutes to get dressed it isn't worth it.

Before canceling my Hulu account, I made the mistake of asking my mother if she's in the middle of watching anything. She said "No, but have you watched the Handmaid's Tale yet?"

So now Mrs. Sunrise and I are about four episodes in, and this s+!$ is dark. Like, even given my recent trend of grimdark stuff, this s$~# is dark as f&*+. But really good!

But I like sunshine and rainbows! And unicorns! And sweet stuff!

it gets really good and really deep really quickly after a long slog.

Some AMAZING performances. But this series is NOT for everyone.

Yeah definitely. Normally I like action flicks and quirky comedies with a happy ending, but recently I've been on a dark spree and I can't wait to see where this story goes. Great acting, great soundtrack, great storytelling -- I'm sure the original author and the script writers are to thank for that!

...And humorously I just IMDBed HM's Tale to remind myself of June's concubine name, and IMDB has grouped it together with one of the most disappointing shows I've ever seen in the category of "Fantasy/scifi series based on novels." (Chronicles of Shannara, I've heard the books are better.)

Just a Mort wrote:
Are you feeling any better, Tequilia?

I'm feeling better, thanks. Not a fan of needing a machine to sleep -- the mask can be irritating -- but given the alternative it's great to be sleeping again.

*Finally* caught up on FaWtL!! Yay!!

So much to say, so little time; I'll condense, thusly:

If you're feeling poorly, I hope you recover quickly. If you have tough times ahead, I encourage you!! If all is well, I pray it continues!!

Game well and live well, friends! Much love!! :)

I don't know what is worse, falling on my ass on the ice I knew we shouldn't try to go down, or the dogs begging for the bag of frozen corn I applied to it.

Our chairs are here!

And now I'm sorely tempted to have tomorrow night be an, "If you want to play, you need to make your chair" night, but then I would have 6 chairs constructed by impatient teenage boys.

Probably not the best construction strategy ever devised....

I'll build them all to IKEA standards for half that price! And plane fair. Also you gotta explain to the General why I skipped out on my dental work.

Well, the Rainbow has set the Emperor's palace on fire. Behind them. Blocking their escape route.

Do not do it! It Violates HSE standards!

You'll get chairs that collapse when you sit on them!

I'm guessing it's a work in progress, definitely needs more color!

And the random pictures! That was my favorite part of the website.

If all my aliases are the same color, how do I know which one is the real me.

It's different here! Why is it different?

The entire Gamer Life section is mysteriously missing from the board map. I think we've been consigned to limbo.

Wow... all I can say is, "WHY do all UX experts think that pictures, menus, and empty space are better than plain old text?"

I have no idea how I'm supposed to monitor various forums now. I'll go join the chorus of complaints...

1 person marked this as a favorite.

I dunno, we could make it a bit more homely and it'd work.

Few sulfur pits, couple of cages, tortured souls, set half the place on fire...

Yes, I think we can work with this design.

I went to complain on the thread, and they point out that you can bookmark http://paizo.com/community/forums and it looks very much like the old page...

Does anyone else have a severe problem with the font?

I... I never actually believed in the statement "this is causing me physical pain" as anything other than an exaggeration, and to some extent it's not... well, not pain, exactly, but it's really difficult to read, and unpleasant in the extreme.

Like, I find myself typing with my eyes closed a lot, and/or looking away from the screen for much of my typing.

I'll check for an answer later - I can't really keep reading tonight, it's too uncomfortable. Later, all!

It's because it's too stinking small on a forum that has now been stretched to basically almost twice its original width. It's really not comfortable to read.

Yeah, my 50-year-old eyes are NOT liking the new font at all.

I've given my feedback in the appropriate thread.

I'm rather surprised by the number of people who seem to like the new design. Apparently I'm already too old-fashioned or just too resistant to change, if this is "modern web design" I was pretty happy with what is apparently now "out of date".

I might take a few days off the forums and come back later and see if I feel more positive about it. =/

Um... go to your browser search bar, hit "p", and wait for it to offer your top auto-fill options?

"Random crap ...page=last...fawtl" is usually one of mine.

I think the problem is the message board links lead to paizo.com, the main thread, so at least for me I can't see messageboards. I mean I can see my post history and my campaigns, Ya.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

It's giving me a headache too, Tac.

I do look forward to hiding a link to darude sandstorm or something in all my posts, though. Always gotta find the bright side.

*sigh*

I am seriously not enjoying the obscurity or absence of my super-handy focused view of all activities Messageboard . . . . I now have to jump through hoops to find what I used to be able to pull up with one url on my phone's browser . . . .

Tentatively: FAIL (but probably the result of ancient technology, lack of tech-savvy, and sleep deprivation rather than a problem in what's been done . . . . For the record.)

"Modern web design" belongs in the same bin with "modern art".

My favorite was a pages-long essay from a modern web designer about how the plebian who asked for a "Print" button on his web page obviously had NO IDEA how information display worked, and he tried to explain it to the man but the man was just too dense, and kept saying stupid things like, "The only reason someone would navigate to this page would be to print it, so the print button should be RIGHT THERE."

It was an amazing cacophony of conceit, cluelessness, and 'art' that just made me understand a little bit more why modern web pages are unnavigable seas of empty space and colors, with not a navigation clue to be found...

And yes, I finally had to bring up the Property Inspector (F12) and change the font away from its default so I could actually read my pages.

From Hell's Heart I spit at thee, 12-point Open Sans!

I didn't have any issue reading stuff, mine was all finding stuff. I guess I'm used to squinting from phone. If I could see messageboards I'd probably be fine with this system. The links are inconvenient though.

Again one could argue that you're better off not seeing paizo messageboards ;)
