Holy s+#~. Mysterious Cities of Gold is on Netflix. This was a "bridge" anime series for me, I saw it on Nickleodeon when it was very new on cable- it let me know that things were still coming from Japan, and renewed my interest in investigating what happened to Robotech waaaaaaaaaaaay back in the 90s.
Really?! I loved that show! Must get kidlet to watch it now. :)
You have no idea how crazy I drove myself looking for this series after a while. Noone heard of it, and I only saw it in a Right Stuf catalog YEARS upon YEARS after my initial search.
Yeah, that thing where you start describing it and people look at you like you imagined it because it couldn't have actually been on tv...so annoying. :)
Hugs Lynora happily FINALLY!! Someone that knows how I feel!! I was told I was crazy soooooo many times, I watched a lot of VERY old school anime when visiting Panama(it was the only thing in english), and it connected me with such greats as Mazinger Z and the fairy tales I told you of. My greatest memory is that of spending time with my Aunt Pearl(who outlived all of her sisters and her mother, all of whom REFUSED to allow her to marry), and watching the anime on TV..she would make breakfast, scrambled eggs and bacon and weird bread(hard dough bread, I would later learn), and her big dog Judy would let me pet her...Ah, childhood.

Loved that show.

always liked that story....

Well I suppose Monkey deserves a nap and with our weather it is perfect napping weather.

I sincerely hope everyone enjoys the midnight screening of Avengers. I hope to see it this weekend.

Would it be rude to point out that "goat" is not spelt "ghoat?"

Pointing out the correct verb form of spell in that sentence would be perfectly polite, for some reason I can't seem to get those right.

Welcome back Orthos, Hell Doctor Wu. Welcome to the list. I'm the resident Bird with the Word.

Hello to all Fawktly members outside US soil.

Nothing wrong with stepping on caltrops, unless of course you're a diabetic and you're not supposed to do so.

It's a great Thursday. Do to a scheduling snafu-y with another store, I will be off Friday and Saturday. Time to see the Avengers and Free Comic Book day.

Finally, after a week, I like my job.

As far as I know, technically, "spelled" and "spelt" are still both correct.
