Thursday night, after we booked our reception hall, John went to play in his Wallyball league and turned his ankle. Today the ankle was rainbow shades of purple. I finally prevailed on him to go to a clinic for an X-ray, but I am happy to report it is not broken. Nasty sprain though. Probably a torn ligament :(
I can sympathise, I have been the victim of 2 achilles tears and numerous sprains on my right ankle. Elevate it and keep ice on it till you can't take it

Yeah I avoid Facebook as well. I would rather keep my private life private. If you know something about me it will be because I told you myself or someone close to me did.

smartphones are to be avoided, but are not banned from the dinner table whist dining out.
Babysitter may have quit mid shift/movie may suck/something involving alternate plans may occur.

Silly ranger... You don't cut open a magic circle until you make sure that the entity within is who it claim it is... Or at least you made a good deal with said entity...
Oh, well, the demon was thankful to my party spirit ranger and later granted him profane gift (a bit different than the one succubi offer: +2 profane bonus to one ability score, cold resistance 10, the demon can communicate telepathically with the ranger, scry on him, and teleport to him but not use suggestion which it does not have).

It probed the ranger's memory about the recent events and will show itself in the future... Probably.
In the past the aforementioned ranger ventured at night into a barrow following visions of local spirits while under effects of sacred fungi (he's spirit ranger that uses hallucinogenic fungi to contact spirits of ancestors). The fact that the barrow contained spiritual remains of a dead gods of earth, worms, fungi, and decay is of little importance here of course. Not that local nomad champions occasionally entered that barrow to fight the vestige of the dead god and either perished or returned touched by that deity. The party followed him immediately when they learned that he entered the barrow which forced them to fight the vestige.

See, I would have to strongly disagree with this sentiment. (Not the anti Facebook sentiment. I'm all about saying no to Facebook. The anti phones at the dinner table sentiment is the one I disagree with.) As someone who has long been opposed to trying to engage in conversation while eating (Seriously, it's loud, I can't hear anything anyways, and let's face it, conversation while eating invariably leads to someone talking with their mouth full and that is utterly disgusting not to mention distracting from what they're saying. Not to mention my tendency to wildly gesticulate while I talk makes talking while eating a bad idea. Someone always ends up splattered with sauce because I forgot I was holding a fork.) I find phones at the dinner table to be a considerable upgrade from the previous books/magazines at the dinner table. There's lots less stuff competing with the plates for space. If my family wants to hang out and talk, we go out for walks or play a game or something. At the dinner table, we're just enjoying our food. It's not sad. It doesn't mean we have no human connection. But some of us would rather read a book on that small screen than try to shout at our dinner companions when we're out. :)
Edit: Sorry, but it's getting to be a bit of a sore point due to what feels like everybody and their brother complaining about the modern disconnection caused by cell phones. It's not you, it's that you're just that one last person who made the same exact comment.

I have my problems with Facebook, but it did allow me to get in touch with a friend that I had lost contact with for almost 20 years.

But what other weapon lets you kill enemies with teddy bears and toy cars?
I would like it better if the range weren't so terrible, on the plus side I devastated the Behemoth Mutant with my newly acquired Fatman, the visual alone was way worth it, with the mushroom cloud and the Behemoth limping out it, where I was waiting, my assault rifle already equipped.
Stupid Mutants, they all die the same way, explosively, in tiny pieces.

Dragon Age: Inquisition is probably the most mentally taxing game I've ever played. I feel like I need a spreadsheet to keep track of all the shit I need to do.
I went to the grocery store for a turkey leg or maybe thigh, then promptly forget what I needed. And the butcher people were closed anyway. So I faffed about in wine, but I had two bottles in my messenger bag and one at home already, so that's a non-starter. But then I saw it. Two for one orange rolls, and only two cans left. Aw. Yesh.
Oh, and I got a big bottle of vegetable oil. I don't know why the weight of that and the wine on one shoulder isn't unbearable, but it isn't.

My grandmother passed away yesterday. She had Alzheimer's for 10 years (at least), so I already "lost" her in a sense, but it was sad to find out about her death. By all accounts, she passed peacefully.
My wife has a kidney infection, and she was almost admitted to the hospital on Saturday. The antibiotics don't seem to be helping, so I think I'll be driving her there in the very near future.
So, bleh.
