How to prevent sneak attack. Bat familiar for blindsense 20 feet. So you have some idea that someone is there. Get Scion of war to use charisma for init instead of dex, since it’s your casting stat, you should be able to pump up most of it. Stay in the middle of the party, so that there is cover for attacks against you. (It takes improved precise shot to remove that cover – which minimum requires 6 levels of ranger).
Also – ranged sneak attack can be done only within 30 feet unless special archetypes/items are used.
There’s probably more like be a gnome/Halfling so that you can hide behind your party with them for cover and pumping your stealth to the wazoo, but that’s approaching ridiculous territory.
Their will always be some way to get you. no matter how many defense you shore up. Walk into a room suddenly 6 medusae (medusas?) make a whole bunch of fort save. maximized disintegrate Dom or confuse the barb have him attack closet caster etc. etc.
EDIT: Surprise you with a naked bearded man as another example.

Just finished tonight's card games. Started at Platinum 4, went up 4 ranks to Legend 3.
I just need to go on one more good win streak and I'll have hit King of Games rank in duel links for the season. It was a good night.
Also, somehow, I hit 49 twitch followers out of my goal of 50.

When I GM, I try to gather information from my players, so I will ask the questions you referenced, Just a Mort. I use that information during the course of the campaign, and it helps me customize the game for the players to fit their PCs. I’m surprised there are GMs who ask for that info and don’t use it. It seems like extra work for no payoff.

Yeah Rank 18 for HS standard is as far as I can go. I tried so hard and got so far, in the end it doesn't even matter.

So, what IS RP?
In immediate, rules-lawyery terms, roleplay is "Any action, activity, or interaction between players and/or the GM that does not directly further the plot, or that takes additional time to do so."
Deciding what to do with the prisoners clearly falls under this aegis: You did not need to spend any time at the table for this. The paladins ask the GM, "Can we just say that because they're bandits and we're the local law, we can execute them?"
In the interest of brevity, the GM says, "Sure!"
And you just kill them, take their stuff, and move on. No time "wasted" at the table.
There are groups, especially at gaming conventions and PFS tables, where this is preferred/expected behavior, because:
(a) It is significantly faster and you can get more done, and
(b) Some players prefer Pathfinder as a tactical strategy game rather than a roleplaying game: "Given the GM's set of rules, how can I best optimize my character in order to 'win' every fight, and handle every encounter the GM might throw at me?"
So, I don't GM that way, and I won't play at a table where that is my play style. My favorite, most memorable sessions were ones where my players arrived in a new city (Magnimar or Absalom) and spent entire 8-hour sessions looking around, shopping for nonsense ("What snacks are available! I hire a carriage! Oooh! Oooh! What shows are playing?"), and making me think on my feet to make the city and NPCs "alive" and "real" for them. My players love that style. Other players would hate it.
So every group finds its balance, and unhappiness occurs when a "get things done" player ends up in a group of "mess around and look at everything" players, or vice versa.
So the fact that you're getting scolded for too much roleplay indicates you're at a more "get things done" table.
That's it. Nothing wrong nor right about it. Decide whether you're happy playing at the table, and stay or leave.

Hey, Limey?
My kids were asking me last night what one is supposed to DO for Boxing Day.
The obvious answer to me is "eat leftovers, play with toys, and gobble the extra chocolate Santa brought you until you're sick", but apparently Mom is WRONG, because EVERYBODY does that the day after Christmas.

Interesting, Nobody's Home. I never saw it that way. Again I've only been in the hobby for 5 years or so and times I feel like an alien looking in. I'll sleep on it and maybe formulate a response tomorrow morning.
Suffice to say I'm generally task focused, and won't go around shopping much.
Mind you in ROTR, I did try flirting with Ameiko(it didn't work out), running the Glassworks...(so Ameiko didn't have to do it) and clean up the catacombs of Wrath. That character in question was rather distrustful of magic in question and gentle repose or not down there, hey there be no sinspawn pollutin' my town. He took all the bodies out, set a nice bonfire and burnt them for HSE reasons.

I count myself lucky if the PBP lasts more then 500 posts.
Let's not even get into if GMs actually pay enough attention to even tailor the game to the PCs...
I suspect most GMs just copy their recruitment off another person's recruitment thread.
Most likely, and, yeah PbP is definitely a different bird than gaming in person.

I managed to briefly hit 17 over the weekend, but just a few matches later and I'm back at 19. :/
I did finally play my 30/30, and then win when my opponent nuked it with Obliterate. A 12 to -18 suicide, now that's a memorable match!

Oh man, even as a player there's a certain amount of meandering I can enjoy, but I'm very goal-oriented and I would not be able to take multiple hours of shopping or whatever.
If it's a plot-driven game, I want to get to the plot! If it's a sandbox sort of game, I want to go loot dungeons or whatever!

When I'm at the table, I'm there for the adventure, the camaraderie, and the snacks.
I'm not there for arguing for an hour over strategy, and I loathe shopping IRL, so why would I want to roleplay pretend shopping?

Lisamarlene, I saw your rankings of Doctors Who, and I'm curious if you've heard any of the Big Finish productions for the old-school Doctors. The writers for Colin Baker's stories did a tremendous job of rehabilitating him. Until I heard those, I had the same basic opinion about Colin Baker as the worst Doctor.

Hey, Limey?
My kids were asking me last night what one is supposed to DO for Boxing Day.
The obvious answer to me is "eat leftovers, play with toys, and gobble the extra chocolate Santa brought you until you're sick", but apparently Mom is WRONG, because EVERYBODY does that the day after Christmas.
Traditionally, the tradesmen (grocer, butcher, dustbinman, etc.) that you dealt with used to come around with a box that you put goodies in to say thankyou, or you put out a box filled with goodies for them, but that doesn't happen anymore.
All of the things you mentioned do happen; there are also special soccer matches, it's the start of the post-Xmas sales in the shops, though that's less of a deal since Black Friday came in, it was a day for big fox-hunts before that got banned, and a lot of people like to go and swim in the sea. Mostly, folks just sit around in a fat-happy daze and watch kakky TV or argue with their relations.
