Naked afternoons?

So, my kitty awoke me at some ungodly hour wanting to be let out. So I stumbled to the door and let her out. As a reward when I actually woke up I had a present of a gutted and headless mouse/shrew.

What kindness :)

Anyway, hope everyones day is less gory (unless it's you decapitating bosses)

See, to me, this is a prime example of why cats should be retroactively erased from the world via time travel.

Good Morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Wednesday! I hope everyone has a wonderful day!!!

I'm in the office early today. The wife took the day off because Charlie's daycare is going on a field trip to some orchard. She was really excited about getting to go with him.

My phone conference with Japan went well last night. And I still had time to watch the DVR'd episode of Revolution. They killed a character, just as promised. Not the one I wanted them to kill, but oh well.

1 person marked this as a favorite.

More importantly....

I was all set to finally give up on the show, when I saw the preview for the next episode. It's like the writer was reading part of my mind - FINALLY!!! Some steam power!!!

You're assuming I think of cats as animals, instead of tiny demons made flesh.

I recall when they finally demolished Veteran's Stadium here in Philly - they first had to go through and capture the 500+ feral cats that had taken to living there. There must have been some gateway to hell deep with the bowels of the facility....

All right, short and sweet for now. Gotta go see a man about a mil-spec.

No. The coolest Japanese word is oppai. Or iku. Or any sentence that uses both of these words.

Have Thanksgiving week off, and Christmas week off. Must brainstorm 'til then.

Heh, yeah. Hmm. With what I know, it'd be something like...

atama no ue ni, oppai

but I don't know what particle to use. e? ni?

Dude! This is an awesome cheat sheet! FINALLY an explanation of the difference between wa and ga that I understand!!!

I'm going to go with ni. I guess "to the" could just be signified by ni, maybe ue isn't needed.

atama ni oppai is what I'm going to go with.

But while you may like what oppai means, really it's not a cool word, in and of itself, like kashikomarimashita is. Kashikomarimashita sounds so cool, is fun and impressive to say!

My black cat was freaking out about something yesterday as I was getting ready for work. He would paw at the carpet as if there was bug or something he was toying with, then jump, spin around, and begin sniffing the carpet as if searching for something. I tried to find the bug (bug hunting is a useful feature of indoor cats!), but didn't see it. As the black cat is rather clueless and has been a pet his whole life, I figured he was just amusing himself with an imaginary bug (he once terrified himself into hiding behind a box in the corner of my bedroom for 6 hours because he was scared of his reflection in my mirrored closet door). After my shower he was still dancing and mincing around the floor, and this time, with my glasses on, I got down and tried to see what had him so interested...and it was a tiny little lizard about half an inch long, and nearly the same beige color as my carpet. I rescued the poor little guy and threw him outside, and felt bad for doubting my cat.

The lizard is lucky. If the other cat had found him, he'd never have survived through my shower - he would have been a delicious snack, already!

MY neighbors cat was under car this morning.

We got two of our cats from the shelter, and I'm pretty sure one of them was on the feral side when we got her. She's a nice cat to the family (with a somewhat malicious sense of "play"), and she's indoors most of the time. When she goes outdoors, she hunts birds, and she's killed a half dozen or so. She's also killed a goldfish (which was probably a mercy killing, because the thing looked decrepit), and she's attempted to murder the turtle. She also bullies the other animals, including the dog, and she usually takes over their sleeping spaces (right now, she's sleeping in the dog's crate). So, yeah, she's the typical "evil cat". One weird thing, though, is she always defers to a kitten we brought into the house a couple years after her, which she "adopted" as her kitten (who's no longer a kitten, but a 25-pound ball of whininess).

Silver Crusade

Our cat growing up used to lay on top of the guinea pig's cage and just watch it from above. The poor little critter would cower and shake in fear.

Oppai is also fun to say. And observe. And interact with.

Which happens to be named by one boat full of vikings.

Spoiler:
Ok, I get the wrath thing... How the hell vikings got to know the word righteous is beyond me, however... :P
