They're scrapping the USS Enterprise. M~&*+% F!!&%% that hurts.Bummer, what a great ship. The only one better was the awesome WWII carrier.
My dad was on a Jeep carrier in WWII, the Windham Bay. CVE series - Combustible, Vulnerable, Expendable as my dad used to put it.
I refuse to bite the dust, it doesn't sound tasty at all.
We once again had a short bench last night for hockey, although not as short as Thursday night. We had 12 to start the game as one of our injured came back, and he lasted until the end of the 2nd when he got a concussion. So back to being down 6. Needless to say I am looking into a new helmet that should reduce the chance of a concussion (this is our 3rd or 4th this season).

cream and sugar make both an amazing treat, refreshing any time of day. Or night! Also, I have a hard time sleeping after either, they keep me up for hours!

You know, civility would normally follow... but it really can't. The usual suspects are at work again, actively working against what another friend would hope to get in the way of actual conversation. It saddens me you can't prove me wrong.
What is wrong with you? Why can't you just be civil to someone who disagrees with you? It wasn't even me this time, but this is sad.

I feel like the knight who arrives to tourney without his lance. I thought we were discussing dead mice and coffee boobs. If we are not discussing that but a potentially inflammatory topic, then I suggest we return to some combination of coffee, boobs, death, and mice, as they will result in a more wholesome message board /Internet experience.

Oh and I almost forgot my company got sold for 2.2 billion dollars today. I wish I owed stock in it because it is currently looking to be sold for about 93 a share. I don't think I will lose my job because the company bought us for our expertise and I would imagine we are pretty safe for at least a year. We got purhcased by a japanese company Asahi Kasei anyone know much about it?

Solnes, it has to be here. I won't hide it. It belongs here, since this is very much between fawtlies and is also tangential to a larger problem presenting itself here on Paizo. Poor CJ has to pull stuff off of his wall constantly because of the pointless bickering and the incessant trolling of the "anti-troll" brigade that has made themselves champions of their own self-righteous crusade. It saddens me.
I wasn't even in on this go round. It just shows you how problematic it has become. I want higher standards, and I have expectations because I know they're better than this. They just need to be informed of what they're doing... and I guess it is up to me to do it. Sitting out of it just ain't my thang, Solnes. :P

You don't want higher standards, you can stow that bull. You just want to hold people who disagree with your worldview to a higher standard. Pretty much makes you no different than anyone else, really. If you ACTUALLY wanted higher standards, you'd tell people who post vitriolic crap you agree with they were being douches as well.
Get over yourself.
Please keep drama from other forums on other forums. I quit facebook for a reason and this be it. After a few months away I was able to remember that these are people I enjoy hanging out with and regain a sense of humor about stuff especially when disagreements inevitably happen, which helps keep even disagreements civil. Please do not import extra drama here. If drama is happening on the Paizo boards, flag it and move on.

Second, I really don't think they care about proving you wrong, or whatever you challenged them to do.Third calling out our secret clubhouse.....SIGH... We started said secret clubhouse as a means of venting amoungst FRIENDS so as to keep things (like this) off of here. Forgive us for thinking that hey, this is what friends do.
Now, maybe we can ALL put our big kid pants on, rememeber that we all have differing views, and maybe respect the wishes of those of us that come HERE for fun, relaxation, and companionship and keep the dirt outta here.
To be honest I think you are all trolling each other and I think its crap. But I will say, in their defense Puffin, I have seen them jump on someone of their views for being out of line, I have seen it consistently and recently. I have never seen this from you. So maybe we should back up, review our own behavior, and maybe rememeber that we used to be friends.

At this point, in f+@@ing March 2012, are any of the participants in the game -- all normally intelligent adults, mind -- really unaware of both the tone & content of what they post and the ramifications that come from it? No.
Is an attempt from either side to call out the egregious behavior going to actually effect change in the individuals or eliminate that behavior? No.
Do any of these political "discussions" actually accomplish anything beyond 1) cause both sides to further entrench, and b) generate bad feelings all around? No.
