How late are we talking?Bitter Thorn wrote:...Moorluck wrote:Freehold DM wrote:lynora wrote:@FHDM: Nuh-uh. That excuse doesn't fly. I have what can be kindly described as a special relationship with time, which is to say I have no sense of time whatsoever, but I still get the kidlet and myself to school on time every day. It's not easy. Especially when you're extra distractible, but I know it's possible. I just can't bear the rudeness of being late. My dad (who also has dyscalculia) made us late to everything when I was growing up and I hated it, always apologizing everywhere we went and never being able to just relax and enjoy stuff because we were always rushing around. So I learned how to be on time even with my crappy sense of time. Things are so much more peaceful that way.et tu, lynora?! Everyone has their pet peeves I guess. I tend not to get along with people who have time issues as their pet peeve because it's always someone else's fault when the show is on the other foot and they are late. My issue with this comes from my mom who will throw a hissy fit if you are late or make her wait but will not have a problem with being late herself, i find most other people who insist on punctuality are the same way.The only time I'm anal about time is work. We have several accounts that are very time sensitive. And I feel that if a customer is told I will be there at 8am, then I owe it to them, and their money, to be there at 7:45am.
I stressed to him the night before that BMW/Mercedes is very time sensitive, we MUST be removed from the interior of the building by 8:30am. The pay us $195/month to follow these instructions.
Otherwise although I myself am a timely nut, I do not hold everyone to my standards on the matter. My outlook is a lot like this.
Diane is chronically late and it drives me out of my mind. Lots of my friends run late, but I tolerate it.
Tardiness in a professional setting is unacceptable!
I actually had to explain to an adult
~5 minutes

Yup. I did not mean for that post to kick off like it did. But I carry responsibility for that, I should have considered how innately political it was. I denied myself a spanking for that. :P

Just a reminder. Although FaWTL may disagree, we may take opposite sides in discussions in other parts of these forums, we never flame for the sake of it. We respect one another, and other posters. You will understand if your recent actions make me hesitant to extend welcome to you. But one thing we pride ourselves on is that go out of our way to make the moderators' job easier. Even when we would so dearly love to spaz out and go a'trolling we don't. The Paizo messageboards have enough of that sort of behavior, we'll not add to it.
So you should ask yourself if you did or not.
I don't really have much of an answer to this. I did it, I shouldn't have done it, and I'm a b+~#+ for doing it. Do I have issues? Yes. Will I try not to light fires? Yes. Should you trust me? Not my place to say. Would I like you to? Yes. Would I like TOZ and Spanky not to ignore me? Yes. Can I justifiably complain about being mistrusted and ignored? No.

Apparently, the dude chosen as the villain in the next Star Trek flick is named Benedict Cumberbatch.
Now that is a name with style.
Benedict Cumberbatch as Shelock Holmes in the BBC mini series....
Very good series if you can get it... modernised Shelock yet far truer to the books than the movies.

On normal days, I'm up at 7 to get shopping and other business done before I open the store at 10. Now, on my one and only day off, I'm up building monsters for our TTop session at 10. Somewhere, somehow, I did something wrong.
