Drunken cooking and unemployment for TotP. This does not bode well.

My backup is not there. My external hard drive has all of these files I made to back stuff up....except that they are all empty.....everything is gone... all of my itunes (and there was a lot of it...is there any way to transfer stuff back from my ipod?), all of my word documents, all of my photos....everything is gone. Which means that all I can do is hope that there is enough left of my old hard drive to extract this stuff. Not looking forward to paying for that, but don't seem to have other options. >.<

Re: data extraction, can't help you there, sorry.

Re: ipod retrieval; if you can locate the freeware application "sharepod", you can run it from your ipod while its attached to the pc, and should let you browse/manipulate the files therein. No guarantees on whether itunes will recognise them properly, but at least you can move the bytes around.

Good luck!

Trust me, the painting already had the clap. Anytime you see "abstract expressionist" as a descriptor for an artist, it usually means "vomits paint on a canvas with no artistry or skill"...
The modern art scene is more about how much b+@!+@#% you can spin and less about actual talent. Trust me, I've been there.

~innocent look~ Isn't that what SCAD taught? How to BS your way through things? Or was it how SCAD robbed the students blind?

Both, really...

Sovereign Court

Oven is ordered. I was going to SAVE money this month.

*sigh*

But, I got it the last day of the sale, and it will be delivered Monday.

Despite my brave foray into oven dismantling and remantling, I opted to pay someone to hook up the gas. I figure it's worth $20 to not blow up my house. :P Valve turning is simple, the other may be, but I don't want to screw it up, while valve turning is pretty difficult to screw up.

I say that every month.

And,...not blowing stuff up is good however.

Sovereign Court

It's not tragic...I've been working hard to save money this month, and if I live super cheap for a couple of weeks, I won't break budget. It's not as good as saving, but it beats dipping into savings.

thank goodness for new year's appliance sales!

Just had to replace the catalytic converter on my S10, so I feel your pain Jess.

Huzzah for sales! But hooking up gas to a stove is actually pretty easy. Should just be one flex hose to attach, then open the valve.

I miss doing maps. I've got CC3, with a bunch of add-ons, but not much time to use it. Not to mention, there's nothing I need maps for at the moment.

Unfortunately. With that little punk who played the vampire Lestat after Tom Cruise. Needless to say, it did not last.

Meh. I use Photoshop for battlemaps. The only thing I miss about my old job was having the freedom to craft maps at my leisure while waiting for phonecalls. Oh and being able to read at my desk. That rocked.

Ah. Stuart something-or-other? Yeah that Lestat movie with Aaliyah was eminently forgettable.

Another thing I miss - playing video games. I thought about getting the Star Wars Old Republic game. But (a) It's an MMO, which I don't care for, and (b) Charlie.

I used to love doing all my maps by hand, back in the day. Then I bought that TSR software product (name escapes me) and it had CC2. Been hooked ever since.

I have a legion of old MMO buds screaming at me to get into SWTOR. But, it's kinda like having recruiters after you in high school. Join my server! We have an awesome guild forming and it's soooo kewl!

***

I don't need a second job, and these guild-builders want 4-hour committments on evenings, or at least they have in any MMO I've ever played. And I put the Cas in casual gamer.
