Doodlebug Anklebiter wrote:Yes, everything. It took me about 10 years to do it, the last one I got was Live from Folsom Prison about 3 years ago. I prefer the sound of vinyl, it's not so "sanitized", especially with the greats of country.Moorluck wrote:I don't. But only because I still listen to mine, and I happen to have everything Johnny Cash ever put out on vinyl. As well as no small number of other albums by various artist from over the years. :)Everything? That's quite a few records.
I've got a few grand, myself. Records, that is, not JC records.
A Maiden and Cash Fan and Vinyl Collector. Kudos, Mr. Lord President, SIR!
Me, I have quite some LP's but I stopped collecting many years ago, I got some nice first circulation copies (do you call it that in english?) from Led Zep, Saxon, Judas Priest. Things like the Sad Wings of Desteny with the original cover. A lot of old german Punk as well. Mostly from flea Markets (Do you call it that?)
I discovered Cash (and Country) after I stopped hunting Vinyl, so only CD's (and by far not everyting)

I have uploaded pics from my trip to the Ore Mountains Link
Password is (for all albums): Aeglos
Pics from:
- Augustusburg Palace

-- including a coach museum, hunting museum and:
-- A real Dungeon, the Duke let the workers build the dungeon first,as a gentle reminder to work hard and not complain
-- The Dungeon features a Witch-scale ( I earned some strange looks when I laughed for minutes about the thing and quoted the whole Monty Python scene)
- Chemnitz
-- Renamed by the east German communists Karl-Marx-Stadt
-- Karl Marx Monument (Hi comrade Anklebighter)
-- Christmas Market

Heinrich came from a family of cool names:
His Father: Herzog Albrecht der Beherzte (Albert the Courageous )
Brother: Herzog Georg der Bärtige (George the Bearded)
Grandfather: Friedrich der Sanftmütige (Frederik the Gentle – not very badass, that one)
Grand-Grandfather: Ernst der Eiserne (Ernest the Iron)

GOOOOOOOD MORNING FAWLTYS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
First off, thank you for the good luck wishes. I would have posted this yesterday, but I was wiped out from the test. Interestingly enough, they give you the scores for everything but the written portion immediately, and I discovered that I am almost exactly on the median for the test. All that fuss and fire and nervousness for something akin to normality. Not sure if I should be happy or sad, although I'm not wowed by my results. Ah well. Time to apply to grad schools.
Next up, it was my wife's birthday on the 16th, and my well-crafted plan to surprise her with an xbox 360 backfired only when she got up early in the morning to go to the bathroom and defied my orders to come right back to bed- she looked in the living room and saw the 360 I set up last night staring her right in the face. She said something akin to "hey....is tha an Xbox 360 next to the TV?" To which I said "DAMMIT!!!!!!!" This is HER birthday gift, not mine, so the name to friend is
Finally it's my birthday today!!!! Which I'm sure people already knew. I will be here for a little while in the morning as I'm not sure what's going to be happening today beyond a little creative posting...

Happy Birthday Freehold! Hope your day is filled with BttH, Games(RP and Bedroom variety), the destruction of Whedon, Cosplay goddesses, and burgers!
Solnes will be along at some point to give you a present.
Thank you, Moorluck! I would wish for Joss Whedon to be crushed in a hail of gold-plated boobs raining from the heavens, but I think he *might* enjoy that.

Blergh. I'd been putting off figuring out what was wrong with my laptop, hoping it could be fixed. Not so very much. Thing is deader than dead. :(
Did not want to have to spend the money to replace that....well, and then there's the gorram printer that doesn't actually print....or scan. So I'm really not sure what good it is. Not having a fun time with electronics today. : /

On the bright side, I'm getting my hair cut this afternoon. Well, only like an inch off the bottom, but I'll be happy to get rid of the scratchy split ends. And I might even be able to finish my Christmas shopping today, although that's kind of a longshot.
And I am oh so happy that I have an ipad or I wouldn't be able to access the internet at all. So that's good too.
