A nekked farewell 69 for ToP!

Now that's FaWTL.

Kidlet is going out for McDonalds with his dad as a reward for good behavior today. And I get to stay at home and hang out in pajamas and hope that the room stops spinning soon. Works all around.

My my. 150+ posts. Good to see the site is up.

Evening my FAWTLiers. Sup?

Stress levels...boredom, yourself?

Meh. My wife's in Gehenn ... umm New Jersey right now until Friday. Riding herd on the baby monkey and three hyper dogs solo. Pile of laundry I just saw a Sherpa climbing up to deal with, still need to get my Dr. Orpheus summoner PC slapped together for Heathy's CC PbP, and have a crisis on my MMORPG. Oh and a co-worker just quit, throwing everyone's schedule higgledy-piggeldy (as there are but three (now two) of us)

Yup ... life's about average I guess .... =P

What's she doing in NJ?

Managerial class for her work. Three-day odyessy on the Jersey Shore..

I have happy memory of the Jersey shore...they don't include idiots inflicted on the nation.

She's not impressed. But we are rural monkeys and this place isn't close to any of the actual shore...more of an urban sprawl with insane motorists and six-lane highways going hither and thither..At least that's the impression I'm getting from her...

Sounds like she's closer to the Turnpike than the shore. YUCK.

Yeah she's near I95, in Woodbridge, I believe is the name

Whoa, 650+ posts is a lot to catch up on in one sitting ... thank the gods for lunch hours.

I like how you just threw that ghoul comment out there casually CH ;-)

That’s some right wisdom there with the peaches Mairkurion.

Ok, so back onto the Star Wars thing ... when my son was three I sat down and watched all 6 Star Wars movies with him over the space of about 6 months, starting with the original trilogy then going to the prequels (we didn’t watch the second two thirds or so of Ep 3, I figured it was a bit too dark).

I kept my comments of what I thought of each movie to myself.

So a while after he’s finished them all, he wants to watch Star Wars again. I asked him if he wanted the one where Anakin is little boy, and he answered, “No, I want the real Star Wars,” (by which he meant Eps 4 to 6). Usually now he asks for “the snow one”.

Now I’m sure he probably picked up on some vibes from me, but I never said explicitly what I thought of each movie and various characters.

So I think it is more than a generational thing, or a “for the time” thing.

Never heard that one. sigh

Very underrated song. Never seen Maiden play it, but there was a cover band years back that played it. I was ecstatic. Wish I could remember the name they went by.

It's a tough pick, but arguably I think Among the Living is perhaps my favorite album by them.

Still waiting for that long delayed new release that does have Joey singing. It was great to see them last year when they opened up for Megadeth and Slayer.

Speaking of idiots inflicted on the nation...

I recently got around to watching the Roast of Donald Trump that I DVR'ed. Watching 'The Situation' do comedy. was. very. painful. I couldn't bear to watch; I had to fast forward his segment. But boy did they roast on him hard there. He may think it's all in good fun (and most of it is supposed to be), but he's probably too dumb to realize that there's a lot of truth in what the other roasters were saying.

Marlee Matlin's appearance as a roaster caught me off guard. She was a good sport and quite funny. Someone sign her up for a comedy flick.

Mothman wrote:

Agreed. I was 5 years old when SW:ANH came out, so I was at the right impressionable age to absorb all of that and thus a 'fanboi 4 life' despite some of the glaring content that comes with it.

Haha. I thought to myself, "Maybe, in my advice to AZ, I should use as an example some creature that I'm NOT about to throw into my PbP," and then I thought, "Nah, it'll just be more entertaining when the PCs actually encounter some ghouls in a day or so."

In Iowa there is not much for serious thought appearing in students at community college level, or in the lower classmen at the four year universities.

It was the first album I ever heard. I have only owned that one and return of the killer B's which is all but a best of album. I still giggle when I hear public enemy and Anthrax together.

Seen it before and still love that one. Reminds me that I ought to visit the Creation Museum for s##ts and giggles some day. It's not far from the lil woman's parents just over the river in KY. The question is whether how long it'll take for them to throw me out of there. It may involve me doing something like this with her 8 month old nephew. :P

Since I'm slogging away at a community college, we'll see. The only one I've seen given their opinion quite vocally was the street corner preacher across the street from the bookstore quoting bible verses and telling us the end is near and we must turn from our sinful ways. Blah blah.

Watch out for the creepy ones that tell you not to drive down a specific highway. They always KNOW!!

Yah, I should be more careful with my descriptor. I didn't mean to imply she was sipping a margarita with Snooki at Seaside Heights or anything. This trip is anything but fun. =(

As Spud would say, "New Jersey smells like bad tuna!"

Yeah, I'm more bucolic NJ. Suburbs at most, rural when possible. The only urban area I can say I really liked was New Brunswick (Rutgers).
