Be sure to wave at the monkeys, badgers, and puffins.

I get to work on my resume and house sit this weekend.

I hope everyone has a relaxing or fun weekend. Good luck getting your resume together, Woodraven, and don't eat all the frozen pizzas. :)

Good night...

Maybe go pick up a new coffee table type piece of furniture. Oh yeah, and sit on my ass doing pretty much nothing.

Evening FAWTLiers!

Got a break from couple time as work intrudes on my ever-suffering wife. This weekend I have to get some hand-written notes retyped for Allen and get what remains of my vegetable garden settled. The sorm did mean things to the vegetation round here.

Well, now Badger-man is just going to have to stat up the dreaded Sorm - bane to vegetation and plant creatures. :)

Pizza not good on my poor tummy. :/
Teach me to doubt the badgah.

The Exchange

Looks like I missed badgah and the raven, but at least I see the monkey and zombie.

The Exchange

I think I'm gonna check back later.

I'll be working until Monday morning, and in-between, I'll stop off and see my brother whose still in the hospital. He's not looking to good so far.

I just wish to say thank you for all the well-wishes on the FaWtL threads. It's been a rough 12 days.

Dude, you need to spring for either a better scope, some shooting lessons , or both. ;)
Either that or get something that has a larger area of effect...

You gotta let me know how it is, I'm hesitantly excited about it.

I enjoyed it. Over all it was a bit too 'talky' for a barbarian film, but that's a minor gripe. Mamoa is such a better Conan than Arnie was. All those people who freaked out with the announcement should be eating crow right about now.

There are some great nods to what came before, including Conan's dad telling him the 'mystery of steel'. My favorite reference was to the Howard story, The Tower of the Elephant. I'm betting there were more names and such that I just didn't catch.

Still need to watch the movie. Momoa went to high school in Norwalk, IA. 15 minutes from where I grew up. How goes everyone's Friday night?

LOL

I love that you think it was too talky! That's awesome!

I loved Conan. I was thoroughly entertained for two whole hours.

The movie has been really panned and is doing crap box office, and I can't understand it; it has maybe minor problems and isn't perfect, but it was an entertaining two hours, and has a lot of funny stuff in there.

The.......trials and tribulations of a young Conan....worth it just for that IMHO.

SSDD, but this week didn't suck as bad as the previous week.

If you guys are going to go see it, I'd do it sooner or later, because it's bombing at the box office and I have no idea how long it is going to be in release.

Momoa's not going to win an Oscar for "best growling barbarian in a revenge piece," but I don't see a big problem with his acting.
S*!@, it's Conan, not King Lear.

Good to hear, I'll probably have to wait for it on dvd, but you and Spanky generally have good taste.

Hey, at the VERY least it's better than that cinematic abortion, Kull the Conqueror.

I'd check it out, but I'm on call.

I'm broke too, so I'd write IOU's which I'd jokingly proffer, but I'm on call.

My buddy and I saw it, we were the only two in the theater and spent the whole time flicking cigarete butts at Keven Sorbo whenever he was on screen.

The movie or the series? I couldn't stand the movie, while I thought the series was OK. Slow at times, but nowhere near as bad as Dragonball Z.

The series. The movie wasn't all that bad, a little slow, disappointing ending.

You say that now, wait until you deal with the anti-gamer who is trying to game with you. You just end up wanting to shoot yourself.

Current issue of Time magazine is devoted to food standards. Worth the read.

hi everyone,

do you have a national holiday over there?

my weekend: refurbishing the big unused room in my house to become a desent bedroom (after all I am no longer solo).
right now: enjoying a cold Apfelwein on the couch with gf

Monday is Labor Day. No school, and for many of us no work either. For me it means an extra day to spend with the kids. :)

I can't wait to be back in the land of the Four Day Weekend.

I've been trying to change my overall diet. In this case diet meaning food consumed and not the Americanized diet restriction plan. I would like to hear what you two :wolfthulu and moorluck will be and are doing.

Good to hear you are no longer solo aeglos. Deciding to stay solo until I move.
