Ever seen the movie Kelly's Heroes? Donald Sutherland's character Oddball is always complaining that a member of his tank crew is always bringing them bad luck with his "negative waves".

So, whenever I wish people well, I offer positive waves.

Actually worked out pretty well. Being in Japan, they're about 13 to 14 hours ahead. So, for me it was about 6 pm, and for them it was about 7 or 8 am.

That is not so bad then, especially since it is the other side of the planet.

Do you realize that even 100 years ago and for the entirety of the rest of history, to our combined knowledge, you could not have done that. Amazing if you stop and think about what is common place now.

Flaming Hands, what a great way to start a campfire.

My dad had a story about his time stationed overseas. Okinawa, I think. He would tell people where he was from, and had to explain he wasn't saying ohayo, but Ohio.

Also a great way to shake hands with a troll.

My dad has a couple of nice pictures of the black forest in Germany.

Oooo Japan. I love Japanese cinema. Just purchased 13 Assassins and Ichi on DVD. Love the violence and honor.

Prestidigitation, for those really hard to clean stains.

Ray of Frost is very useful here in the Southwest.

You call that a wrap and a day's pay as an orc extra on the Fellowship of the Rings set?

Is it just me, or is it whenever you see a pic of Neverwinter, it's always winter. Is that like naming some place Greenland, Greenwood?

Nope.

Ghost sound - permanent --- at 9th Level you can do this and can make it as loud as a Dragon's roar.

There has got to be clever ways to use this.

Help. I've seem to have dragged my Paizo screen. It is now larger than what I am accustomed to reading and now I can't shrink back down to its original size. What Are I to do.

Mend spell?

CTRL + the minus sign - = smaller screen.

And just in case I forgot to mention it:
UGH.

Thanks CJ, I'll remember that in the future. I uninstalled my search engine and re-installed it minus all the saved goodies. Everything is working fine.

I'll take a rain check on that one. I wanna see the anime version and live versions. Working on my own wireless account with Netflixs. I got spoiled on my Gen Con trip. :-)

Re: Too many rules in this thread

There have always been two standing rules in this thread: no politics and no religion. Thanks in part to Sebastian, we had to implement the "don't bring the crazies home with you" rule. These rules were implemented so we could have an oasis of sorts from the howling desert of negativity in the rest of OTD (not the only one, I realize, and I am engaging in some hyperbole. Some).

If you want to create Prick Perry, Buwhack Obama (I'd suggest refraining from Buttwhack Obama on principle), Sarah Bailin', Joe Bidumb, or Michelle Crackman (or Backhoe, but those also might be in poor taste), have fun...in another thread. If you want to be Eric Cartman and have all those aliases tell you how super cool you are, bust a nut...in another thread.

Gark's been ranting a lot about this IRL, so I'm just going to say something in his defense so he will shut up about it: he only brought in the alias because he was too lazy to make a Default Texan avatar. It wasn't awesome judgement, but he's apologized, and I think it's best to drop it.

Spoiler:
...I said a full week later. Look, Gark's a whiner. It's either this or put up with it for the next five years.
;P

I'm mostly assuming that there's nothing more to argue about. It was a mistake. I just wanted to perhaps make his intentions more clear.

If this post ends up causing the issue to resurface, I will hit myself with a frying pan.

And while I'm here....
