Aaaaand... here we go.

I finished up my final lab testing this morning, then watched some training videos, and I've reached the point that I'm ready to call it a day. I normally quit at 4, and can spend the final half hour of my day dealing with no-brain administrative work like answering emails.

Great! It's 3:23 pm! I'm set!

But noooooooo....

It' 2:23 pm!

(Shakes fist)

Curse you, Daylight Savings Time!!!!!!

EDIT: Wow. I didn't even remember to get dressed this morning! Stupid DST!

Send me chocolate please.
I would but I don't want to offend your tastebuds with what passes for American chocolate.

You could send her some imported European chocolate, just for irony’s sake.

Winter time is the TRUE TIME, not that travesty of time measurement that happens in the Summer.

I don't know about time, but I f&!$ing love summer.

You're telling me?

We had a proposition on the California ballot a year or two ago to get rid of time changes... by switching to permanent DST. I voted against it, of course.

Noon is when the sun is at its highest point in the sky, and dawn and dusk are symmetrical. Grr...

Which list? Because I'm about to drop on another planet with an excellent vantage point and its you and gran on top of a mountain back to back gauss rifling everything that comes within your impressive range while lisamarlene and woran spritely hop and jump around to get the asset and get it out of here.

BTW gran, I made you an urbie with a gauss rifle.

While I love me a gauss rifle, I still think that making the Urbanmech more effective makes it less lovable.

Apparently he made me a sniper, which is the complete opposite of how I play video games.

I'm definitely more of the sniper type.

I always default to Stealth in video games. I don’t like bad guys catching me unawares.

In fallout I made a smart sniper type upgrading gear constantly and staying range. fun and all but for my second character I maxed out toughness str and luck and punched things. 10 times as fun. You haven't fallouted until you one punched a deathclaw.

Here is a many enjoying his job.

(same video)This guy, however, seems less enthusiastic.

Anyone interested in a nutburger? No, it's not made of nuts. It is a burger with nut sauce on it.

It might not be too late to change your wedding meal. You could serve burgers with your own special nut sauce to all your friends and family.

I took my 7 year old daughter shopping today. We were looking at frozen turkeys, which were all quite small. She asked "Do they get any bigger?" I said "No, sweetie. They're dead."

I have six legs, eight arms, and ten heads. What am I?

Spoiler:
A liar.

Dolphin son: "Dad, how did you and Mom know that you wanted to be together?"
Dolphin Dad: "Well, when we first met, we just sorta...clicked."

In hindsight I wish I took the whole day off instead of just to vote. It's going to be hard to focus on work today, and my job isn't the kind of job you can do when you're distracted.

I personally feel like the day should be a national holiday. Everyone should be off work for it.

daylight saving time is the only good thing about summer.

I think the first plank of any platform i set forth as a candidate for office would be abolition of dst.

Well you aren't getting my vote that way.

Time for Woran and lisamarlene to stomp on vehicles.

Daylight saving time is the worst thing about summer.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with summer!

Well, it was the worst thing when I was a kid. Then the summers got even hotter than they were around here.

Woran put her foot through a tank and then fired her laser upon the remains.

Hopefully missing her foot.

I've been "at work" over an hour now but can't seem to focus. I'm with CY, I should've taken the whole day off.

DST is silly. If people want more daylight at the end of the day, they should work earlier. Stop messing with the clocks already.

Why do you want Woran to be missing a foot? I’m sure she would rather have two.

I guess that’s a gray area - a Belgian chocolatier that set up manufacturing in the US to their European specifications. It would still be an ironic thing to send to Woran, but at least would be less costly since it wasn’t actually imported to begin with.

Also, my phone keeps autocorrecting Woran to Wotan. She may or may not actually be the patriarch of the Norse pantheon.

Yeah I’m not sure how much I’m going to get done today.

Ok, Freehold, 'splain to me how I ended up in your game?

I'm quite amused.

I am thankful I got my voting done weeks ago. Would not want to be in crowds today.

I don't have a problem with DST or with Standard Time. Either one is perfectly fine with me. Just stop switching. Pick one.

I voted early last week. I still had to wait in line for an hour though.

Computer Story III

Sooo... Apparently the computer, or rather what was left out of original system after the required replacements is out of service and back in my friend's hands. The screen is new, the system starts up and shows 16 GB of memory. Unless something goes wrong soon, I'd be giving it another try...
