Buy why do buy moose-poo? I mean... why?

I know about the german tourist obsession with moose (and the scandinavian puzzlement about that)

but that we actually buy moose-poo is new to me. is there a clever marketing behind it or are we just that stupid ? :-D

You do indeed buy moose-poo (or at least did a few years back). From what I understand, it started with a farmer out on Hunneberg (plateau-mountain with loads of moose on it) seeing German tourists picking up moose-droppings as souvenirs, deciding that next year he would be ready for them.

And I'd rather you kept doing that than stealing the moose-warning traffic signs. ;)

Stopped back over at my friend's house to pick up some of the stuff we left there yesterday from the party. Left his house with all my own stuff, plus a bunch of the remaining food.

Mmmmm....hot dogs.

Pretty good. Getting a little breathing space at work, finally, after several months of 70+ hour work weeks and nasty office politics. Things have settled down a bit, for now, at least.

Gaming has been awesome, if less frequent than I'd like. I'm thoroughly enjoying my paladin, and the adventure we have going right now. :)

Other than that, life is life, and a little more roller-coastery than usual lately.

6,371 new posts? Seriously TL;DR.

Hi! Although the majority of you know where to find me. Had to drop in briefly to bring support to a tentacled friend.

And with that note, there's a Rule 34 alert notifying me. Ciao!

No, it's a homebrew, and a continuation of a former campaign, with a partially continuing cast of characters and a few newbies. We're about to venture into the Hells to defeat an imprisoned demon that's bound to the evil red dragon who's terrorizing the world. I foresee lots of SMITING in my paladin's future. I love SMITING things. :)

This is a safe place to share and vent. I wish I could reach out and help your nation's hurt and loss. I'm sad that I am largely helpless to do so; I can only imagine how much more painful it is for you.

The entire situation is a downer. This isn't about politics here, this is about a friend stressed, for good reason, over a deplorable situation. Vent. No one here will complain.

Reading or listening. You don't want to believe the level of callousness and cruelty that humanity is capable of, or the amount of suffering that it has inflicted.

It's simply awful.

I was in Japan for September 11, 2001 - teaching students.

The faculty the next morning immediately asked me how I was doing. The students commiserated. The staff let me do classes that first week on the emerging news as we learned more.

Having a place to talk about things is important. Don't deny us the ability to lend what small support we can offer.

Well, what a tragic weekend, events in Oslo having reminded me just what evil human beings are capable of.

Makes me even more pissed off about all these ‘Is it evil if ...?’ threads. Figure it out people, it’s not that hard, and it’s a GAME. Getting all worked up over the minutia of what is or isn’t an evil action in a game (so you can figure out whether or not a character is penalised in some way) just seems to trivialise the real evil in the world.

No doubt. I do worry though that those types of questions even come up. It means some people have little to no grasp of what those concepts are, and worse yet do not understand that they don't. Events like this in the real world should give a clearer understanding. Not make things more muddy.

I read an interesting article in either the WSJ or NYT talking about how I (and my generation) pay a higher percentage in healthcare, gas, housing and a few other things but we make 20% than they did back then. For the record, I'm 34.

I've read similar things. Higher education was also one of the things that has had its price explode in the last 20 years.

By the casual reading I've been doing mostly in silence, that flagging looks more like a bukkake circle jerking marathon around here as of late. Some posters seem to show less rationale than a 1500+ page manifesto by a schizophrenic Norwegian poster boy for self-serving ecclesiastical National Socialism herp derp.

I propose a new course of action. I've been speaking to Darth Sidious lately ... Don't let the expanded universe canon lie to you. He lives.
