Then it's even funnier.

What I did one day(yes, it really happened)…a log:

Breakfast:
12 grapes
Chopped spinach fried with 2 eggs
A bun with a piece of sweet potato in it
One glass of milk

Lunch:

Tau Kwa with thai chilli sauce. Like 2 servings worth
And a Kiwi.

For a snack I had 2 figs.

Dinner:

Tau Kwa with thai chilli sauce. Like 2 servings worth
A Kiwi
And a grilled chicken salad (from Mc Donalds) – I took no dressing. Don’t even like dressing.

I have some plans in mind.

Aiymi and I went to Hellboy tonight. It's by no means the worst thing I've ever seen, but it's not good. It's not like the original Del Toro and Perlman movies were fantastic, but they were entertaining and Perlman brought a charisma and voice to the role. Harbour felt a bit like he was trying to not mimic it while doing so.

:(

I want to go for Hellboy today before L5R session (after discovering yesterday that it is in Cinema)...

Yeah I wanna see it too.

The US FDA stated to keep soy protein at 25g per day but for me it's a bit of a tall order. Because Tau Kwa is so easy to bring around and reheat to beat the lunch queue. But I'm trying not to take soy protein everyday so I hope it evens out.

I'd think that tau kwa even comes with iron, even if it's non heme iron since it's just a harder form of tofu.

And toast the tau kwa long enough after it's been seasoned with salt, its texture even slightly resembles jerky... For people who have meat cravings.

All you broccoli people... I guess change the arrows to be pointing at me then :P

Heh.. broccoli people... you guys could be on vegi-tales. (But only if you stick to clean humor and christian values.)

Broccoli is one of the few vegetables I enjoy. But only cooked broccoli. I hate raw broccoli.

Nope, can't do it.

Especially since Christian values are so hypocritical and completely arbitrary.

Well if you have a good singing voice we might be able to overlook that part.

Broccoli is horrible raw, I've heard. And I don't even dare to try that stuff, which says a LOT about it considering I'm usually game to eat anything.

I LOVE raw broccoli with dip, it's the best way to eat it!

Yeah, about that...

I think you're better off with a better singer, like William Hung (who is also a much better dancer then I).

1 person marked this as a favorite.

If I could get William Hung would I be offering it to you broccoli's?

(Also I don't know how I ended up trying to recruit for Vegi-tales but I was willing to roll with it.)

The UN would never let my singing voice be recorded, too many people would suffer or die.

What sort of dip? I mean I've been known to eat raw Spinach with just tuna brine...

So you're saying the military should probably get a recording as a WMD.

At least if you ever have to prove you're not Van Halen you have a sure fire way.

I can eat raw spinach with just a vinaigrette on it. I regularly cook it with garlic and salt and pepper and can eat it like that no problem as a side.

I can't take vinegar so tuna brine is as close as I get. If you cooked it with garlic and salt I'd beat you to the pot and scarf it all down.

We use raw spinach as a lettuce substitute on sandwiches.

That's not as impressive as it sounds considering how much it shrinks when you cook it.

I like that. Get you some iron from the spinach and it's not like lettuce really adds anything to a meal.

Ranch dip usually, though Dill dip works just as well.

One of these days remind me to take a photo on how much vegetables I can scarf down if given a chance. Unfortunately more often then not, I don't get vegetables to scarf down.

I know I ate an entire stir fried cauliflower once.

Fibre. And without the extra stuff that goes along with Spinach like vitamin A. I'm rather fond of jackfruit, mangoes and peppers and other green leafy vegetables. I have on occasion run myself into a vitamin A overdose. As in on the nutrients tracker but no real adverse effects.

Oh yeah It's one of those fat soluble ones right? What is a outward sign of getting to much Vitamin A?

Edit: I looked it up. It turns you orange.

I was backing my truck up to our trailer yesterday when a new guy decided he was going to be my spotter and co-worker waved him off saying "he doesn't need a spotter" "how does he line up his truck with the hitch then?" "With situational awareness, which can't be taught, by the way".

He should be very afraid. My brother's pea shoots that last him a week in states? I told him if I were the one eating, it'd be gone in 2 days.

Swelling of the bones sounds intensely painful.

Y'all remember a couple of months ago when Whingey Wizzard had three levels of interviews for a job with a company that he really wanted to work for, and they told him at the final interview that they really wanted him, and then they picked someone else for the job?

About a week and a half ago, they called him and said, "Yeah, so we're sorry about that, but we have this OTHER position open up, and we'd like you to resubmit your materials for this one. Oh, and btw, it's director-level."

So the interview is this morning at 9:00.

If it goes well, second-round interviews will be Monday, and whoever they pick will start May 1st.

Part of me is pissed off because I'm just assuming he won't get it and they're just d**king us around again.

But the job really is kinda right for him.

I don't want to get my hopes up again. But, geez, this would change EVERYTHING.

More seriously, for clarity, because the internet and text communication can obscure joking intent, I am genuinely glad that gran is here, along with everyone else that posts here regularly. EDIT: oh, and I am also not, actually, angry. That, uh, that should have been clarified. Whoops~!
