Had one today…
Was supposed to be and hour...turn into almost three.MrT celebrated his 12,5 anniversary at his place of work. He got thorougly roasted, and we now have a giant amount of leftover cake in the fridge.
My bowels will protest, but I think the cramp will be worth it because its from the best bakery in the city.
*Sends Woran huggles, a heating-blanket and some tummy-rubs*

I love naps. I wish I could take a power nap at work.

Mom will be going in for her surgery on Wednesday of next week. I am taking all of next week off and I might have to take off some of the week after. I will be trying to get her affairs in order just in case the worse happens, but I don't think it will come to that. I will probably not be on the boards much next week, but I will make sure to keep you all informed as to what goes on with her.

Well, Sharoth, it's not that it's just a double shift. It's more like working 25 hours in a 30-hour span. And now, I've a headache. Again, lucky me.

Mom will be going in for her surgery on Wednesday of next week. I am taking all of next week off and I might have to take off some of the week after. More seriously, I guess Game of Thrones is coming back on soon. I've been hearing people talk about it on the radio, trying to guess what's going to happen. Personally, I think the best way for it to end is with three little words:
** spoiler omitted **Actually, I wish it had ended before he ever wrote any of the books. That would have been ideal.
GothBard and I *loved* the books when they came out, and avidly ripped through them.
Neither of us got through even Season 1 of the TV series.

Well, I was searching for the solar contract and ended up finding the roofing contract, and sure enough it lists:
1) Remove the existing roofing down to the decking
2) Inspect the existing decking and remove all rotten wood
So I have no idea how they "know" that the solar guys aren't installing on said rotten wood, but solar guys are installing now, and then presumably the roof guys will come in and repair all the wood...
...hopefully not under the stuff the solar guys just put in...

Love the books, I think the show is a good dramatic summation, but once the show got beyond the point where Martin has written it veered into standard Hollywood "primary protagonists can't die" territory. Which is a big reason I love the books, so I'm not super psyched about further seasons. I'll watch them, but I'm not expecting anything unexpected.

It took me a minute to stop laughing long enough to tell him the damage was already almost all there.
Yeah, one wall we'd had repaired back in 2002 came loose, but considering we were hoping for that job to last 5 years and it lasted over 15, I'm not displeased.

So, just *how* mild is it here?
I needed to know the sunset time because I'm going to try to sneak up on the roof and do some work after the roofers leave. I scrolled down:
For April 10, the all-time high in Albany is 83° F. The all-time low is 36° F. Considering I could comfortably wander around in jeans and a t-shirt at either extreme, that's pretty darned mild.
