And I suppose they could have a friend named Han Shot'First.

Probably wasn't nekkid when he shot, though.

I love naps. I wish I could take a power nap at work.

And you can have all the digital cake I can send you. I doubt it will be tasty after I have send it trough the mail.

I will probably not be on the boards much next week, but I will make sure to keep you all informed as to what goes on with her.

Good luck. I wish you and your mom a lot of strength

Well, Sharoth, it's not that it's just a double shift. It's more like working 25 hours in a 30-hour span. And now, I've a headache. Again, lucky me.

More seriously, I guess Game of Thrones is coming back on soon. I've been hearing people talk about it on the radio, trying to guess what's going to happen. Personally, I think the best way for it to end is with three little words:

Actually, I wish it had ended before he ever wrote any of the books. That would have been ideal.

GothBard and I *loved* the books when they came out, and avidly ripped through them.

Neither of us got through even Season 1 of the TV series.

I haven't even begun watching the series. Zelda is adamant that I am going to watch it.

It might be better for me, since I also haven't read the books.

I couldn't get through the books, which left me with no desire to watch the same characters I couldn't get invested in on TV.

zelda, I know you have never met me, but I have saved you by proxy in several video games, and thereby implore you to turn back from your television ways and to take up the(very) good book!

Spoiler:
That said the TV series got the physical aspects of the Mountain vs. Red Viper fight PERFECT. I MUST give the TV series respect for that.

Well, I was searching for the solar contract and ended up finding the roofing contract, and sure enough it lists:
1) Remove the existing roofing down to the decking
2) Inspect the existing decking and remove all rotten wood

So I have no idea how they "know" that the solar guys aren't installing on said rotten wood, but solar guys are installing now, and then presumably the roof guys will come in and repair all the wood...
...hopefully not under the stuff the solar guys just put in...

Or, looking at the radar, nope. It's just going to be Minnesota/Wisconsin/Michigan on this one. (Aside from the states it passes through on the way to those.)

Love the books, I think the show is a good dramatic summation, but once the show got beyond the point where Martin has written it veered into standard Hollywood "primary protagonists can't die" territory. Which is a big reason I love the books, so I'm not super psyched about further seasons. I'll watch them, but I'm not expecting anything unexpected.

OK. Still loving my solar guys.

"Hey, NobodysHome! There's a bunch of bad wood down here. We can wait for your roofing guys to fix it but it'd throw us off schedule. Can we just fix it all for you? It'd run you around $250."

Yeah, adding $250 to a $25,000 project to keep it on schedule and they call me and ask permission?

Now THAT'S a good contractor!

LOLOL.

The manager of the solar project just came in to look around, saw all the cracks in the ceiling, and said, "Oh, crap! Did we do all that? I'm SOOOOOO sorry!"

It took me a minute to stop laughing long enough to tell him the damage was already almost all there.

Yeah, one wall we'd had repaired back in 2002 came loose, but considering we were hoping for that job to last 5 years and it lasted over 15, I'm not displeased.

So, just *how* mild is it here?

I needed to know the sunset time because I'm going to try to sneak up on the roof and do some work after the roofers leave. I scrolled down:

For April 10, the all-time high in Albany is 83° F. The all-time low is 36° F. Considering I could comfortably wander around in jeans and a t-shirt at either extreme, that's pretty darned mild.
