Well, I haven't been online as much as I normally would on my days off. When my mother needs things, I'm the one that has to go get them. She doesn't walk all that well, anymore, and she's legally blind. And, if her blood sugars are a bit low, she tends to want to collapse on the sidewalk, or at the bus stops.

Alright, ta - how was yours?
I did my work
I bought my vegetables
I went home
I did some exercise, trying to work through a manual by a Portuguese man called Godinho, which is doing my head in
I stir-fried some chicken, previously marinaded in soy sauce, lemon juice snf chili powder, with garlic, shallots, lemongrass, baby corn, mushrooms, peas, and noodles. I ate the results.
Then I played the synthesiserer.
Now I am having a beer and playing Baldur's Gate II, again.

Might be a fun premise for an adventure sometime.
There are so many anime with that story these days, you can see a lot of different takes on it. Overlord is the only one I can think of going the evil route, which is kind of refreshing, but it's starting to wear on me a bit.
I'm actually playing in a similarly themed homebrew RPG atm. We weren't godlike, but the tech we brought with our characters is far beyond that of the world we arrived in, so we're pretty high up there as long as the batteries last. :P
Oh yeah? Not super familiar with anime, though I like it alot, are there some of the other 'go to fantasy world, be godlike' animes you would recommend?

Really hope these people are really just non sentient computer programs or dude is slipping into legit genocide territory.
Still not sure what the exact tone of Overlord is, it flips from goofy to terrifying on the reg.
Yeah I find it confusing occasionally, are we having fun or committing atrocities? Or having fun committing atrocities?
There is other stuff I found jarring too like when the butler dude rescues a girl being dumped on the street from a brothel and when they heal her they talk about her sexually inflicted injuries like it was an episode of SVU.
Like huh? I mean I'm a big fan of the Berserk manga so I have no problem with dark stuff but the tone ratchets all over the place between light hearted silliness and brutal murder all the time.

Actually Cloud is in fact in FF tactics. Hes just super hard to unlock.
Oh you guys already went over that. nevermind.

People don’t quite understand that Ainz is not a good person.
He's good for someone who has completely lost the ability to empathize with humans. He only cares about his kingdom. Plus he is still going into it like hes trying to win a game. So yeah probably Lawful Evil overall but hes not crazy mustache twirling evil.

Busy but productive day for me. I set a new personal record for myself, running 5 km in 28 min 55 secs. Then I went for food tasting at a restaurant for my wedding lunch with my family and my BFs family. So we were generally satisfied with the food except for a few things which the restaurant was happy to let us tweak(we swooped the Spinach with abalone for broccoli with scallop since the Spinach was slightly bitter) and asked them to make the fried rice a little more flavourful. We also booked the date for our wedding lunch - 23rd November 2019, and paid the deposit.
Their VIP room is a bit small to squeeze in 5 tables so half of us will have to stand during the solemnization(which should take about 15 min). But we should manage.
Then I went to bake a tuna pizza with Cheddar cheese and made a chocolate cake with chocolate chips.

Woooo I got emailed back for a case worker job. I have a face to face coming up soon! I think I'm going to try and use all my vacation I've accrued just in case I get it. (no use wasting it amirite?)
Good luck for your interview!
What are you looking for in a vacation? Maybe I can help? =)
Mort the travel agent cat lol.

No real plans to go anywhere if I do decide to it won't be far. Just gonna relax.
I hope I get the job as much as I know I will hate it at the same time I'll also feel like I am actually accomplishing something important. Plus the pay is considerably better.

I stayed up waaaaaay too late making a bacon-shaped pinata for Val's party today, so I overslept. I have four hours to make the cake, the appetizers, dig the picnic supplies out of the garage, and sew a few bacon-shaped beanbags for the games. No pressure!
I'm worried that the bottles of bubble solution in the pinata will burst from being whacked with the stick or from falling. Maybe they were a bad idea.

Alright, I'll keep my mouth shut. I'm sure you've heard all the arguments.
The rest of the meal looks amazing, though.
What's #1? I've never heard of that before.

If it looks a little nibbled... That's because it is. I failed a will save and had to try it to see how it turned out.
Will record it here since I did some experimental tweaks and am happy with the results.
2 cups of plain flour
3/4 cup of sugar
1 cup of cocoa powder (hershleys)
200 g of butter
3 large eggs
225 ml of fresh milk
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/4 tea spoon of bicarbonate of soda
1)Take the butter out of the fridge and let it warm up for half an hour or so.
2) Dump the sugar on the butter.
2) Grease the pan with butter/oil
3) Heat the oven at 320 F while you do the other steps of the cake.
4) Sieve the flour, baking powder and bicarbonate of soda, powdered milk and coca powder into a separate bowl.
5) Cream the butter with the sugar using a mixer.
6) Add eggs, one by one into the butter sugar mix and have it mixed further.
7) Add the flour(mixed with baking powder and bicarbonate of soda) into the butter, sugar and egg mix, in 3 batches. As the mixture gets drier, add the 200ml of water. After that pour the mixture into the baking pan.
8) Put it in the oven to bake, about 1h. Also depends on how hot your oven is - stick it with a satay stick to determine if its cooked or not).
The preheating of the oven will take about 30 min, but you'll be using those 30 min to do the other steps (to save time) so the preheating will be done by the time you're ready to put the cake in.
When I say cups, I mean use a Measuring cup
All measurements for tablespoons and teaspoons are done using Measuring spoons

I know the arguments against sharks fin soup. The problem is that its quite ingrained in Chinese tradition and I'm going to be looking quite cheap-skate if I don't get it (heck, my BF complained on not having enough fins...).
As it is we already opted for simplicity and said we were doing away with most of the marriage customs(pain in the arse to do them).
No. 1 is the cold dish(aka appetiser). Consists of jellyfish and sea weed salad, char siew pork, yam and pork fritters, crispy fried fish skin and roasted pork.

Understood. I had a good friend who was a medical ethicist. She consulted for a few of the local hospitals, as well as for the nursing home chain I worked for. She was also Jewish, and the granddaughter of an orthodox rabbi. So even though she had very strong professional views about whether or not to call the mohel when her son was born, she did it anyway to keep peace in her family.

Don't you get paid out any unused vacation?
I know it's always a hard choice between paid time off and a bundle of cash, but I've always chosen the bundle of cash...

Perhaps the BEST explanation of the series I have ever read.

I will never understand why the rest of the shark is not eaten.

** spoiler omitted **
The chocolate cake cracked at that point so there was quite a bit, exposing chocolate chips that looked nice to break off. It was as if the cake was saying, "Eat me!"
Now my chocolate cake is still a little inconsistent (thus the recording of all the experimental results), so I usually try it first before I start handing out samples to relatives, friends and colleagues just to do quality control. You geddit, guys?

As a matter of fact, I eat the rest of the shark. Have done so on multiple occasions.

Because no matter how much you soak the flesh to try to lessen the flavor, they always taste just a little of urine?

Not in my opinion. Stir fried with light soya sauce/fish gravy, and ginger and Cilantro is sufficient.
