You paradoxed my cloths off with that one.

I dont know why, but the page numbering having 33 in the middle is very pleasing to me.

Well no I feel I need to go to page 3333 and see what was going on then. (turns out is kind of hard to do to go back that many pages.)

No, it isn't. Go into the URL bar on the browser and replace the 4338 with 3333. Move the caret to the end of the line and hit Enter. Easier than pie.

Sweet thanks John.

For anyone who wants to know we were talking about the eclipse.

I loved the eclipse! Planning a 2024 RV caravan for the next one!

Ahh, some people. I was making the coffee a few minutes ago and a guy comes down cussing and going on and on about how "We gotta leave now, had an 'emergency call', and you don't have anything out to eat. This f%++ing b@*~&***! Get us something to eat, now!!" If he had asked nicely, I would have offered bagels, cereal, or yogurt, those being what we have ready to eat, but as it is I said "Sorry, sir. But breakfast is at 6, and it is now 2:20. It won't be ready for two hours and forty minutes." He stormed off cussing some more. All he had to do was be nice and he might have gotten something, but no. He had to be an a$~$*$&. So he got nothing.

NobodysHome's "Just be nice, stupid!" wins again!

It's frigging 1°F outside. Windchill of -10°.

Saturday the roads were so bad it took Zelda 3 hours to go 45 miles. She was the passenger, so she got phone footage of a pickup truck in front of them being blown by the wind into the other lane. Same truck got blown into a semi a little later. Semi driver decided he didn't like being around a pickup truck that gets blown all over the road, so he sped up a bit. An hour later the same semi was spotted again, jack-knifed in the median.

Zelda counted 30 vehicles that were in the ditch or median.

Many thanks, Vid.

So balmy and warm! We were at -12 when I woke up, although it has since clawed it's way up to -9 currently, with a wind chill of You're f$!~ing kidding me!?!?!

That's about right - usually in the dead of winter Madison is about 5-10 degrees colder than Peoria. We're supposed to hit the upper teens today, but the wind is going to be nasty.

One of my techs had to dig his wife's car out of the ditch in front of their house this morning. He's about an hour late for work.

I have to dig a hole in our cul de sac for my dad to park in this morning because our condo association was too cheap to hire us or anyone else with a hint of competence, because it's been three days and they've only done one pass.

FYI, if anyone wants to shovel snow the boss pays cash.

And we're supposed to get another 2-8 inches tomorrow.

We're expecting freezing rain instead.

Tempting. Does he also reimburse plane tickets?

Probably not, we live in a major college town, but tickets to the Midwest are pretty cheap this time of year, on account of the bitter cold and all.

And you can always crash with us, Crookshanks appreciates strong women she can learn from.

very, very tempting.

We got nothing, snow wise. Just some rain. But today is barely double digit in terms of temperature, and we had a lot of flash freezing overnight.

Depends how giant is the spider...

4 inches diameter? 10 inches diameter?

A 2-inch diameter spider is enough to make me go get WD40 and a lighter.

About to clock out. Have a good day, everyone.

Depends on the spider, but we have black widows, brown recluse, and other highly toxic spiders hanging around in Illinois.

The Adult Kid nearly lost her hand when she was very young from a brown recluse bite.

I've had more than a couple run-ins with black widows when I was out in the middle of nowhere working in a corn or bean field as a teen.

We are entering windstorm territory around here. The wind was so bad it almost took the pizzas I was delivering to work out of my hand. My cough was truly awful after a brief walk outside and I was body checked a few times.

You have sufficient RAM, but you may need new drivers. This page has a link to the drivers page for Intel.

Good morning, everyone!

I told you we'd be able to help, right? ^^

Its just funny how John and I took different routes about it. Me being luddite, UMDed game forums and found out what happens if you play on your specs. John actually found the right driver conversion set for it.

John: Is it that easy to just driver convert to fix the problem? I remember very very laggy witcher 3 issues when I was playing it with a noob graphics card and upgrading the graphics card put a lot of heat stress on my PC.

Any snow? Yeah I'm coughing too. But it's intermittent. At night usually.

And here we thought only in Australia you have everything that is poisonous and out to kill you.

That's why I don't have a diary. The last time I wrote stuff in for school journal entries my teacher blabbed it to my parents and I got into trouble. So yeah why the hell do you call it free writing if I need to censor the contents.

Anyway I believe too much introspection is unhealthy anyway.

Dusting of powder here and temperatures persistently in the teens and 20s. No full-on snow and clear skies otherwise, thank goodness.
