Just finished watching Torchwood: Miracle Day Part 1. I loved it.

The Exchange

Miracle day is not bad, so far anyway.

OK, you may just have to be dead to me, until you atone for such blasphemy.

I believe this is America, and that I can hate whatever I want thank you! If I HAVE to eat fried chicken at a fast food place, Popeyes is preferable to KFC... however, once you've had the local favorite of King Edward's Chicken you'll never look at that other chicken the same way again.

:drools:

There's always the other option.** spoiler omitted **

What's wrong with your spoiler? I can't read it just like I couldn't read Ashe's before. Are you guys doing something weird with your BBCode tags? If you are, how can I change mine so that only certain others can see it?

Sorry, I don't like Popeyes, but Chick-fil-a offends me. I have to get my chicken at the local hole in the wall places or make it myself.
Don't like Popeyes. Do I even know you?!?!
I've never had Popeye's. What does that mean?
I'm hoping there's spinach involved.
Ooooo, I love spinach. Especially canned spinach! Yum!

I like spinach of all kinds! I used to sneak into the garden and eat a bunch of spinach when I was a young'un because it TASTES SO GOOD. +1!

Random: If you ever have the opportunity, try lomatium. It's pretty strong, but I had some after that BBS on burritos and it gave them an interesting flavour. Probably better plain, but still.

Can't beat fresh spinach. I'll only eat cooked spinach if it's on a pizza.

If I may be permitted to weigh in on a few topics: (spoilered for length/lack of interest from others)
1. Fried Chicken:

Spoiler:
I prefer to make it myself, but if I have to go to a fast food place, I go KFC. Mainly because it is closer. Also, I know what to expect (which isn't much), whereas it has been many, many years since I ate at a Popeye's. Although, to be honest, my favorite fast food chicken is from Long John Silvers.

2. Tacos:
Spoiler:
Again, homemade are best, although I will on occasion go to Taco Bell if I am desperate. Back when I lived near one I would go to Jack-in-the-Box to get tacos. In my past I have been known to eat tacos from Taco John's, but that was the better part of 15 years ago.

3. Spinach:
Spoiler:
LOVED it as a kid. Fresh (from the garden), canned, or frozen, didn't matter. Ate so much of it I can't really stand it anymore. Will occasionally by a bag from the store, mix with green leaf lettuce, green onions, crumbled crispy bacon, a little salt, a pinch of sugar, a splash of vinager, and a drizzle of hot bacon grease to make a nice little slaad. Usually leave the spinach out though.

4. Chik-Fil-A:
Spoiler:
Been a while, but I remember it was very good, though expensive. Love the "Eat Mor Chikin" ads.

5. Walmart:
Spoiler:
Love it. Pretty much the only place I shop. Generally only go elsewhere if need something Walmart doesn't carry. Also, since I work nights, I really appreciate that it is open 24/7.

Thank you.

Liberty's Edge

Dammit PostMonster that's the third time you've eaten that alias! GrAR!

No, I mean come over to Iraq and say that.

We have Taco Bell, Pizza Hut, Burger King, and two no-name food joints. Not exactly a wide array of choice.

At least you don't have McDonald's!

And +1 to no-name food joints. Their food is almost always better ('round here, especially Mexican) than fast food. Less of a plastic taste (TO ME), I guess.

Grand Lodge

The no-name italian joint here thinks garlic bread is sprinkling garlic on plain pizza crust and baking it.

TriOmegaZero wrote:

Sounds pretty bad. Although I once went to an Italian place where the "garlic bread" was a slice of bread (like from a loaf of WonderBread or BunnyBread), toasted, then sprinkled with garlic powder. No butter or olive oil, just the powdered garlic. It wasn't very good.

Grand Lodge

They do an alright pizza, better than the Pizza Hut does, despite the crust being more like a cracker than bread. Just the "hardships of deployment", you know. :)

Well, I thought I could half-assedly use the remnants of what I prepared for last week's game and improv the rest this time, but I was able to successfully attract a new gamer and I'd better dress to impress.

No slacking off for me, today. It's all PRD, all the time.

Can't beat fresh spinach. I'll only eat cooked spinach if it's on a pizza.

I put it in the lasagna I made last night. Delicious.

The "cracker crust"? I wonder if you're getting a st. louis style pizza. Our pizza is done on an ultra thin crust. It's great!
