It's 12.40. I've got a rucksack full of beans and cooking apples, with a four pack of Guinness squeaking plaintively at me from beneath it all

Bit too early for beer, even if it is Sunday. Shut up down there!

Meh. Headache strikes again.

That's actually one of his earlier works.

Aand my Grandmothers coming over in, like, ten minutes and my roommate's got the g~#!&&n living room smelling like weed, not to mention his half of the bedroom and the drugs left out in plain view. FML.

Good luck. IMHO it is time for a new room mate.

Any decent creation myth should include murder or sex... Or preferably both (blogpost).

I need to get to the Carrion Crown recap tomorrow, if I can.

Spent most of today suffering from a rather persistent migraine.

On this we shall have to disagree. Well written though.

And grandma never actually entered my apartment. I still need to talk to our housemate about confronting my roommate. He's getting annoyed that my roommate leaves dishes everywhere all the time and bums too much of his weed (both of them smoke grass, it's just that my housemate is courteous and respectful about it and my roommate isn't).

Feeding them to the beagle?

Yes he has a weakness for certain insects, crickets, butterflies and bees. I'm not sure if part of what makes bees so tasty is when they stung him in the mouth but man does he love them, we have an odd dog I'm starting to suspect he's an alien (he unlocks the door for us before we get home).

That's certainly better than if he locked the door when you want to get in.

Just watched Cowboy Bebop: The Movie on a friend's recommendation. I watched the subtitled version, you know, like you do, and then, as the credits were rolling, I noticed that Jennifer Hale did the voice of Elektra in the English dub. Guess now I have to watch it all over again...

Man did this weekend get away from me.

Tempted to call in sick tomorrow, but I have Friday off from the main job due to pope visiting and so much work to do.

Just finished up first season of Fargo.

Boy is that an awesome show! I recommend everyone watch it.

I think my roommate and I bonded tonight. He got really high and saw a bee and freaked out, and it was hilarious. Then I turned the lights off because they were what was attracting the bee, and didn't warn him. He freaked out more. Then he went into my room, saw my brand new bookshelf, and freaked out again. Then we went to the grocery store, and he was way too stoned to figure out what he needed to buy and was running all over the place. I tried to get him to buy me alcohol (I'm 24, but I renewed my ID and it's in the mail, so I can't buy alcohol myself) and he was too stoned to understand the concept that I give him cash and he buys me liquor. Then we went home and he spazzed out at all the graffiti in the tunnel.

It was actually all pretty amusing. Kinda worry about him, though.

Is this college his first time out of home?

i've been trying really hard to make up for my sleep deprivation but I don't feel any more refreshed.

There is something so very wrong about that sentence.

Random thoughts on a Monday morning:

  • Impus Minor was sick 4 of 5 days last week, and Impus Major is sick this morning, so there's definitely the "sicky icky" going around our place
  • When someone dies, you always hear, "These things come in threes", and human nature strongly tries to see patterns. Last week we lost one of our kids' group's grandmothers (the Middleton fire), my wife's (step)father (cancer), and one of our Sunday gamer's best friends (massive coronary at 43). So you say, "Whoa! Another three!" Then I realized my uncle died maybe 3-4 weeks ago, so we're at four. Oops. So much for that pattern! But yeah, I'm ready for Death to take a nice long holiday for the winter, thanks.

  • On the other hand, my manager is awesome: I'm the kind of guy who deals with loss by working even harder and longer, so she pretty much kicked me out of the office this week. I've got 3 days of "down time", and on Wednesday I'll be helping my mother-in-law haul a huge amount of stuff off to Goodwill or the dump, but I have today and tomorrow to catch up on the rest of life. Silly things like, oh, the budget, prepping the 3 campaigns I'm running, and maybe, just maybe, getting a couple of writeups out.

We'll see how it goes, but I'm definitely not one to sit idle around the house...

    Hello FAWTLpods!

    • The first draft of my essay on American ideals vs. reality sounds like a liberal rant. For example: "As these people lie through their teeth about the state of the country, the nation is slowly but surely disintegrating around them." Good lord, what have I become!
    • Cats. So many cats. There is no such things as too many cats, though.
    • My math teacher is one of the most intelligent and cool people I know, but he always sounds stoned.
    • Working on the first draft of my tabletop RPG with a friend. It's going fairly well, but the stat system is a complete ripoff of Shadowrun.

    My life is somewhat strange.

    So you know, typical Monday.
