Ooooo! Shiny!

This... Is really awkward...

I planned to write in parentheses (but not Eldritch) but I thought that it will be more hilarious, though...

If I only suspected...

Some day, I will figure out how people write text in Eldritch,

I don't think you would like to write text in Eldritch Mister Shiny. I am almost 100% sure that he wouldn't want that, at least.

Good morning all and sundry! Hope everyone is well today, had a good night's sleep, and has a great day ahead. The weather is up and down, high and low, bright and dark. Heck, as long as it's dry, I can work with it. Ah hell, I'm Irish, I can work with the wet too. Onwards!

Game night tonight! Will do a mini journal tomorrow. Not sure if game is coming to an end, or just a big story arch. Either way, looking forward to it.

Those Who Enjoy My Mini Journals:
Do you think I should write up a full campaign journal? It'd be mostly a catch up exercise, been playing for over a year at this stage, but it could be entertaining. If I do, should I post how the system works as well? Not sure if it will make sense otherwise, being a non-Pathfinder game journal on the Pathfinder site. :P

And despite the recent troubles, my son is down today. ^_^ His mother is off on holidays to Greece for the week, so I'll be taking care of him til next week. Can't wait to get home and see him. His Nana will be taking care of him until then.

** spoiler omitted **

There's the journal section of the forums, specifically for it (although here's brilliant too). Generally I'd keep the rules light/out of it, since most read for the stories. But it's also a great reminder for yourself as to what's happened.

What DSX said. I keep journals for [all four] [of my] [group's] [current] games, and have written a few for games that have since been abandoned or otherwise ended. It's been very fun to do, and has done wonders to help me remember small details and plot information without having to run to my GM (or my players, in the first journal's case) to ask for refresher courses.

Warning: Spoilers for Kingmaker, Council of Thieves, Rise of the Runelords, and Age of Worms respectively.

Hmmm... And it's okay to put not Pathfinder stuff there? Even if I don't put system stuff, should I put some explanation of the setting? I assume not everyone is familiar with World of Darkness, less still the GM's home-brew version of WoD. Should I focus on just my character's perspective, or all of the one's I'm aware of?

Nah, you get this language free when you take a level in the Cosmo Cultist prestige class.

Should I focus on just my character's perspective, or all of the one's I'm aware of?

... Maybe I should just check out your links instead of just bombarding you with questions. :s Thanks for the links. :)

All of mine are PF, but they're set in my group's homebrew world Finiens rather than on Golarion. But I've seen WoD and Savage Worlds journals there as well. The mods don't discriminate.

The first one I'm GM, so I write from an omniscient-ish perspective; the latter three I'm a player and write from my character's. But there's no hard-and-fast rule of how to write the journals; it's really whatever's cool for you.

Go for it! =D

I did one* in the Star Wars system. I'd assume people were familiar with the setting - or at least the rudiments, so maybe explain nuances.

As far of how to do it... well it depends on your writing style. I do like the First Person, maybe with 'quotes' or blue for other peoples view points.

However keeping them short & sweet can be great for sustainability....though it all depends on your writing style/ability.

Good idea, I'm going for an all you can eat curry tonight then playing Feng Shui RPG. Should be fun, if I'm creative enough.
Maximum "creativity", eh? Lemme fix you up a Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster.
How did you know I was going for an adult beverage too....

When there's an Irishman behind the counter, there ain't nothin' but.

So. I'm playing hooky today. Getting new computers at work tomorrow. I needed a day to get my sleep schedule back to normal and take care of some other things that have been floundering of late, I figure this is the best of both worlds.

Rest well and have a good one. I hope you can take care of everything while you have the time to.

I apparently made a good impression on my students from my student teaching classes. They mentioned to their other teachers that I explained math in a way that "made sense."

One, who refused to do ANY work when I was there, started doing the classwork the last week of my teaching. When he found out I was leaving he was highly upset. "But I just started working! You explain things!"

Aw.

I was amazed at how poorly a lot of teachers taught math, especially in the early years, where it's important to get kids interested in it.

updateon sabine's grandma:

we visited her on sunday and she could not even open here eyes, she just layed there wimpering, we and the nurses thought she would not survive the transport to care-home

when we arrived yesterday at the care-home shortly after she had arrived:
she was awake waved at us and laughed, she talked some unlogical things but mostly she was very good, better than some weeks

she knows she is terminal ill and she knows she was almost dead on the weekend, she used the german proverb: "well, I just jumped off the shovel this time"

a rollercoaster of feelings

but Sabine and her mum maybe have been granted a few good days with their "Muddel"

but it makes me wonder what medication the used at the hospital on her

I'm glad Sabine and her mom are getting good days with Sabine's grandma.
