This is why I ride the bike everywhere.

Nekkid to boot....

Going to sit down with friend in a few hours go go over finances. I originally wanted to do my taxes this weekend.

Last monday I threw out my back lifting a big tv wrong.

Getting better now though.

I read that as 'My mouth is full of kobolds...' and I thought you were having an odd kind of breakfast.

Eating kobolds is not cannibalism.

He doesn't, it's part of my treatment for insomnia.

It's worked, by the way. So I can't complain too much.

Bleh. Haven't been able to connect the laptop to my modem since at least 9 hours ago. Just a tad annoying.

And back from work. It was quite good today. Enough things to do for time to pass at decent rate without being exhausting.

Time to sleep.

It's called ** spoiler omitted ** Or possibly the consequences of a desk job with little to no exercise.

Yeah, that's what one if my coworkers said. We commiserated that we are slowly turning into our grandfathers.

At least that is a legit strain on the back.

Glad you are feeling better.

I just got back from seeing the new 300 movie. It was a good time.

I had that while picking something up from the floor a few month ago, the pain went away when I pulled the trousers up

That's interesting because I solve a lot of my problems by pulling my trousers down.

I know, but I feel stupid.

And a brand new day starts. Couldn't it wait a few more hours so I could sleep some more?

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Tuesday! It was a bit chilly this morning, sort of like winter's last feeble grasp. That's ok, though. It's gonna get up to around 70.

Scarab Sages

I love making biscuits for breakfast over the weekend, if only because it means I get to bring leftover ones for breakfast on Monday and Tuesday! Huzzah!

When I make the biscuits (Pilsbury Grands) I pull a few of them apart and make animals/people/mini biscuits out of them. The boy loves it.

My own grandmother and mother used to do that for us as kids.

Taxes are evil! That's why I'm more than happy to let my wife do them. She cheats by using Turbotax, but still....taxes.

So, if all goes well and we're able to close this Friday, I plan on immediately starting to bring stuff over to the house. I've still got a lot of stuff in boxes, simply because it was stuff we weren't in absolute need of. So there's plenty I can get done over the weekend.

For the BIG MOVE, I'm currently shooting for 12-13 April. I'm going to rent a big U-haul truck, load all the big stuff, and get it moved in one shot.

We've still got through 14 June on our lease (unless we break it early), so we'll have a good bit of time to finish moving all the little things we wouldn't absolutely need to get by. That'll also give me time to mend a few whole in the wall and such.

The death of David Brockie had me reminiscing about going to conventions back in the day. Gwar played at one of them (I think it was DragonCon back in the 90s).

Memories light the corners of my mind.
Misty, water-colored memories,
Of the way we were.
Scattered pictures of the smile we used to share.
Smiles we gave to one another
Of the way we were.

I miss the old days.

Scarab Sages

Speaking of conventions, I'd love to get out to Paizocon again one day. Maybe next time my brother would be able to go.

Scarab Sages

All right folks, I've got plenty to get done today, including at least two big meetings with vendors. Y'all have a good one.

Morning all.

Took yesterday off (not sure if I told everyone that) and feel a bit better today. Couldn't do financial stuff with friend yesterday because he had his own stuff to go over from a recent convention, which is cool. I'll go over stuff with him tonight. Maybe we can find something truly awful I've been doing or not doing together. Otherwise I'm doing okay. Helped out at my friends place despite their protests, also made dinner for them. Hope to help out more in coming days. I will reach out to the other party tonight after financial review. Hopefully they will want to talk.

Time to slowly prepare to work...

Heyo all. :) Hope ye're well and having a good one. Shockingly sunny here in Galway, wet and cold as well, but a boost in Vitamin D is always nice. :)

Just thought I would pop in and drop this off.

+1.

And for the immediate future, Freehold, I'd strongly recommend you skip Inside Llewyn Davis on DVD/BluRay. I love me some Cohen Brothers, but that is a black melancholy film.

Shaky update: About 600 tremours above 4.0 since last week; we're also getting 5+ about 4 or 5 times per day, with a 6 or 6.5 in between for variety.

I'm not seismologist and I know this is the most seismic country in the world but, come on, there's gotta be something big incomming. It's been two months of this stuff already!

If not, I think we could say it's a... rock-tease?

I'm sorry I have been persona non grata for a while now. It shall remain so for awhile. Which is weird as I think I over post on FB most days.

Great to see you post again and I encourage you to post more. FaWtL is alive and well still with a lot of new faces coupled with some of the long term posters. With more time on my hands, I hope to be more active again as well. Facebook is nice but I prefer random conversation more prevalent in this thread.

alright

I tried to be cool

but then you had to go and pull the whole 'allowing my existence' thing

so now I'm gonna have to grab some melted butter and a complementary bib and then serve your candy crustacean ass up like it is on a $3 buffet next to the chocolate wonder fountain

(the butter and bib are for your Mom'vaul, btw)

YOU LEAVE MOTHER OUT OF THIS. YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH, WHAT WITH HER SON BEING IN LOCK-UP FOR 10000 YEARS AND FATHER RUNNING AWAY WITH THAT NINJA SUCCUBUS SLUT.

THAT IS TRULY BEYOND THE PALE.

Doom.

that sounds less like you are allowing his existence and more like you would *have* to do something about it. Which means he is sorta kinda more powerful than you because you are literally suffering his existence, not figuratively.
