Wow. Time flies.

Rachel will be graduating from high school next year, and she's been dating a guy for a couple of weeks now.

Dating? Graduating? o.O

I know, right? :)

My chronological age doesn't make me feel old, but watching my children grow up certainly does. My wife and I will have an empty nest before we know it. However, we are in no hurry for grandchildren.

I don't want to scare ya Badgah.. but I gave my parents a wedding when I was 19 and a grandbaby when I was 20... just saying. ;)

I don't want to think about the dating and stuff yet.. although mine are getting there. Kellen is 12 this year. hard to imagine I don't have him for much longer..
Arden is already talking about how she has only 9 years left until college and her own place... SHE'S 9!

My body makes me feel old! I'm only 31 and logically I know this isn't old... BUT my back went out this weekend! What kinda Sh*t is that?!

I remember being 31... So old and still much younger than now ;)

Hey everyone.

I can't put into words how much the outpouring of support means to me. So many pms and people who I have not seen on the boards in some time coming out of the woodwork... It really warms my heart and I feel the love and support I need right now. I've gone into things that have happened in pm, and I'm starting to get better at talking about it. I haven't spoken to the person in question yet, and I'm thinking Sunday might be the best time to give them a call and see how things are going. Falling on one's face is still moving to forward, yes, but I'm starting to have a few missing teeth in my smile, and that's really getting to me. But I'm still smiling, thanks to everyone here. I'm also feeling a bit more determined and ready to try to resolve things, when they are ready to talk.

FHDM,

good to hear you are hanging in there, Sabine and I wish you the very best and that you get through difficult times as undamaged as possible

please remember that you can always vent here and we will be here for you.

Well, I haven't bought any cloths for quite a long time. Except socks. But I don't wear socks alone. Man in socks only looks even more ridiculous than just naked man. But not as ridiculous as man in socks and shirt.

Have I mentioned that a new publisher acquired rights (I think they licensed them) to Magia i Miecz (Sword And Sorcery) - the first and the most successful Polish RPG magazine. And that publishers are acquaintances of mine. Maybe time to write something in Polish again?

Guess how much creative work was done today! :(

Nope. None. Zero. Nil. Playing FTL and reading internets isn't creative work...

Only got half of that second paper done when the boss man came in to my office and caught me notdoing work... lol, ended up spending my lunch hour in my office working on the paper since that's what I told him I was doing. Yay for bosses who don't knock!

A couple hundred aftershocks so far this week. The Seismological Service has indicated these are probably no longer aftershocks from last week's 7.0 tremour, but rather an independent seismic swarm. Whether the swarm itself is the lead-up to a full-out earthquake is impossible to tell, however.

In other news, been playing some Dark Souls II. Or better said, dying in Dark Souls II. Dying a lot.

Anyone else playing it?

SnowJade wrote:

Hmmm. When I was there, back in '89, there wasn't a tremor the entire time, and I kept expecting to feel one. (That was in La Serena, which gloriously lived up to its name. Sunsets over the Pacific, truly yummy food, lots of nice pathological skulls to study - what more could one ask?) So, what part of Chile do you live in, Klaus?

I live in Santiago, about 400kms (about 250 miles) south of La Serena. Most of the tremours are taking place near Iquique, however, which is 1,500kms north of Santiago, so we're not getting them too hard.

According to the seismic registry, though, La Serena experienced more than 20 tremours above 4.5 during 1989. Maybe you visited just between tremours? Also, the central part of the country often experiences deep underground tremours, which makes them harder to notice.

That's entirely possible. I was only there for seven weeks, so there just might not have been any humanly-detectable events during that period.

Unfortunately, I never got a very good look at Santiago. I was busy sleeping off the airplane flight (I can't sleep on airplanes, even with meds), drinking homemade chicha and mate with coca for the altitude, running catch the bus to La Serena, and running to catch the airplane back to JFK. If I ever make it back, will you show me around?

Good morning everyone. Lots of small chores to do today. Building a book shelf, replacing a lamp, working on my Facedbook page. Yes, I have a new group called "The Dungeon Corridor." Come on over and sign up.

Morning everyone.

At work, getting some breakfast in me. I had the place I was staying at to myself last night and the quiet was equal parts good and not good. I find myself wondering how I got here, and where go from here. Was there overreaction on the other persons part? Underreaction on my part? Is it all my fault or something shared? I've gotten a lot of good advice, some of which I didn't want to hear, other parts that were really encouraging. But I am where I am right now and I'm trying to move forward. I have kingmaker tomorrow. It'll be difficult because tons of mutual friends are there who know little to nothing. I'm not sure how much to share, if anything. But I don't think complete silence is a good idea. I'm going to get through the game as best I can, primarily because being completely alone eight now isn't a good thing.

I have an idea for a Cheliaxian monster...

Hi everyone,

we made a trip to lIKEA this morning, mmmmmmm IKEA HotDogs

than we had lunch at my dads (they watched the Dwarfling while we where shopping)

we ate the first Grüne Soße of the season, with the first herbs from his garden - yeay for springtime
than we had a Schnaps, a Grappa filtered through hay, it was interesting but not really my thing, there is much better stuff in dads Schnapsschränkchen

Kingmaker today. It'll be awkward without my extra gaming stuff, but we'll make do. I'm looking forward to it and to being around friends. Being alone in this place is kinda blah.

Also, heard from the other hand party via text. Potentially will talk after Sunday. Looking forward to that too, but for different reasons.
