Good luck at the doc's, BT. I'd offer to come lend a hand if you need anything, but right now, I can't even buy a tank of gas to get there. :(

I appreciate the thought anyway.

I'm shocked that James Jacobs hasn't seen Blackadder, that's like saying you've never seen Red Dwarf.

?

I have never seen Blackadder but only heard good things about it, strangly it is almost unknown in Germany besides Mr.Bean beeing a really really huge success

Red Dwarf I have never heard of

Dr.Who I had never heard before entering Paizo Boards, it never was on German TV

only English TV shows shown here that are younger than "all creatures great and small" and "miss marple" are "Sherlock" and "Inspector Barnaby"
and "Mr. Bean" of course

and I have never seen Dr.Who

Silver Crusade

For a while I was hooked on Catherine Tate's short-lived sketch comedy series. She cracks me up.

Hi, all.

I have given a couple of the first seasons of the new series more than a fair shake

and I have come to the conclusion that I am like the only geek dude on the planet who does not like Dr. Who

DId you see her sketch with Tony Blair, quite amusing even if it is one of her more annoying characters.

it could be worse. You could like eccleson (sp). I keep telling whovians that he was the only doctor I liked and I keep getting blank stares.

I'm not a Dr. Who fan either. I feel like a failure. Just can't get into it.

yeah, I get the blank stares and feelings of failure

it is like sorry you are out of the club because you do not have a t-shirt that has a tardis on it

and then everyone points and laughs and I realize that I am not wearing any clothes and it is the day of final exams and oh god why can't I wake up

Thanks everyone!

It turns out that Diane's serious pain from Monday night was a fairly common post op complication that has now passed. So all is well and she is recovering even better than anticipated.

Eccleston, forgot the T

Scint and I agree he's the best Doctor thus far, shame he only could stand to do the job for one season.

Have high hopes for the new guy though.

My parents are the same way, Mom just can't wrap her head around it.

They like Sherlock though.

Nothing out of the ordinary, though I did have a tooth removed a month or two back.

I liked Eccleston.

Yeah, that happens sometimes. I had a few shards I had to spit or dig out for the couple of months after my surgery.

Great news about Diane, BT! May her prodigious recovery continue! :)

I"m going bowling tonight with my team from work.

this will not impress my coworkers.

I am a terrible bowler.

My first bowling score?

7.

FINALLY, someone I can beat at bowling!

Sovereign Court

Dude, I won a monetary prize two years in a row for sucking that badly at bowling during the annual Christmas party.

And I was trying my best both times.

gets out white huckster suit with bolo tie and grifter hat Dame Door, I think the time has come to take your act on the road....think of all the money we could make placing sucker bets!

More seriously, there is a very good chance you're using the wrong weight when it comes to bowling balls.

Wow, and I thought I was bad. At least I can blame beer when I bowl even more poorly than usual. ;)

Yeah... I suck, and I've still managed to hit four strikes in a row on two separate occasions. (The TV above the lane played a silly animation of a turkey on the first occasion.)

Fictional football-news for DSX

I ended up with splinters after a wisdom tooth extraction. I felt like some sort of badass pulling tooth splinters out of my gum. Yeah!

Scint and I just spent a good deal of time fleshing out the relationship and interactions between the villain and one of the other characters in the story series we're co-writing together. It's equal parts interesting and disturbing.

Aaaah, the good old days before RTD ruined Rose.

No nerd shame for not liking Doctor Who so long as I don't get booted from the club for being meh about Star Wars and giving not a single rat's posterior for ASoIaF.

I know this isn't the Advice part of the forums, but I have a character who's semi-inspired by William the Conqueror.

Now I just wondered how many levels of Barbarian would a Paladin be okay with? Yes, I have the alignment restriction removed.

Just figured I'd have the first few levels as Barbarian, then said character switched to being a Paladin, but the rage is still there sometimes.

iirc, you can have him be a former barbarian with no finagling of rules, he will not be able to rage without losing his paladinhood. I think he should have a lot of bbn lvls, and a few paladin levels, he should be in awe of his new abilities but have enough of his old ones that it is a temptation to go back to old ways.
