aah! The pbp! Is it too late? I think I can actually handle it on this phone!

I've already got one started. I'm willing to run a second.

Because evidently I am a masochist.

@_@

If CrimJ still is interested, and you are, we already have another 5 players interested. :)

WOW

EDIT: Naked wow? O_o

Nekkid wow? Good to know you're keeping in shape!

Ran into a teacher who retired my junior year at the school I was subbing at today - he's only semi-retired now, it seems. He recognized me but not by name (choir teacher, I never did take that).

"How do I know you again?"
"Um, I was in drama, and you helped out with the musical. Brigadoon."
"...That was about ten years ago."
"I'm your colleague now!"

Star Wars transcends age limitations. I think your friends are simply not as cool as you. :-)

Considering the fact that the dude in question is a 19-year-old Goth keyboard player, it's a possibility.

Since the original Star Wars movies are from before you were born, this is not a function of age, but a reflection of the fact that you were exposed to movies that were already old by the time you watched them. You are still a youngun.

True, but the guy I was talking to was a toddler when the prequels came out.

I 100% thought you did that on purpose.

Same here. I was a bit concerned you might be, you know, getting a little bit too into character.

That's okay, it makes everything much more dramatic when I kill PCs that way.

Jess, if you end up having room for one more at some point, let me know. I'd be interested in playing, but I know you've got plenty of interest already. :)

I suppose on some level I have had an idea kicking around in my head for an angel-blooded character for a while now, and realized that Jess's PbP was the best time to play one. Maybe it originally tied in with the "Celestial Healer" tag, but it had long since become dissociated with that.

So... subconscious and all that.

I love the pay BTW. It's helped me catch up on my bills and get back ahead in my hobbies and other things.

Unfortunately, Houston isn't a big cab city. Some days, I would barley cover the expenses of the cab and gas.

Glad it's working well for you though.

Also: TWO WEEKS WITHOUT WORK!!!

I'm shocked that James Jacobs hasn't seen Blackadder, that's like saying you've never seen Red Dwarf.

Anyway happy Thursday - gaming tonight, penultimate game in the campaign. Will we rescue the senator's daughter? Will we be bothered to reveal the senators evil machinations?

I don't know if I should feel sorry for him, or feel envious that he can still experience it for the first time.

I find it's pretty common that non Irish/British people haven't seen Blackadder/ Red Dwarf/ Black Books/ Father Ted/ Fawlty Towers. That's okay though, usually provides me with a good excuse to re-watch them. :D

Given he's outright said he doesn't like Doctor Who and a couple of other British series, I don't imagine he'd care for it anyway.

I grew up with Blackadder thanks to my dad. Red Dwarf is on my to-see list.

British humour is British.

Wonder what it says about Texas-raised me that I prefer most British humor over American then.

That you have good taste :P

That you find poo and farts funny? =)

Monty Python isn't all farts and poo.

Sissyl wrote:

The IT Crowd, one of the best modern comedies.

Green Wing - modern Python.
Garth Marenghi's Darkplace - Brilliant weird take on St. Elsewhere meets Eerie Indianna (yes, I'm aware they are both US shows).
League of Gentlemen - disturbing, black comedy.

Sissyl wrote:

There's been remarkably little of that in most of the stuff I've seen, admittedly, so no not as much =)

I find the British preoccupation with the topic utterly fascinating. But you are right. Monty Python isn't ALL about it.

Yeah, sometimes they like saying Spam over and over again and walking funny.

Scarab Sages

Good morning to all my FAWTLY Brethren. However, I refuse to acknowledge this day as a "happy" one. I'm gonna be cranky today.

Coffee for AZ. Hope it picks up.

Scarab Sages

Still having trouble with my initial Wayfinder #10 submission. I just can't seem to settle on things.

I think I may have to leave it be for now and concentrate on my other idea.

Scarab Sages

But it's still gonna bug the crap out of me, so GRRRRRR.......

Scarab Sages

If only this damnable "work" thing weren't taking up so much time.

Scarab Sages

Speaking of......time to get designing!

Scarab Sages

Right after more coffee.

Scarab Sages

Because.......coffee!!!!

What's Blackadder?

Blackadder - Sense & Senility.

Keep your peepers open for Dr. House.

Good morning.

Well, it's morning, I'll give you that.

And I'm off. Work to be done. Long day ahead with overtime. And I've found I get a lot more work done if Paizo is closed, so see you guys around lunchtime.

Morning.

Ok, not so morning. More of an early afternoon.

Silver Crusade

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Silver Crusade

I brought coffee in a thermos this morning to be frugal. Only, the seal failed on the way and leaked all over my car and on my volume of Flannery O'Connor stories. And then I was stuck having to buy coffee anyway.

Wow, that is unlucky CH, sorry about the mess.

But look on the bright side!

You still have coffee, and now your car smells like caffeine!
:)

I love the Dr Who, (all of them, for varying reasons, some better than others, but I like them all) :)

I have watched a couple of episodes of Red Dwarf, and simply didn't 'get it', or maybe I just watched the wrong episodes first, (?)

I occasionally enjoy a good round of Monty Python, but only for a certain length of time. ;P (I missed 'Spamalot' when it came to my town, which frustrated me terribly) :(

Never have watched Blackadder, although all of my friends assure me that I would enjoy it. ;)

Good morning. I'm taking Diane in for a Dr's follow up this morning. I hope everyone is well.

Good luck at the doc's, BT. I'd offer to come lend a hand if you need anything, but right now, I can't even buy a tank of gas to get there. :(
