Good news: I still have (still cold) water. (unless it explodes in my face next time I will come closer...)

It took me some tinkering, jurry-rigging and 11.3 zloty in parts.

I am wary of taking cold shower... Mostly because my bathroom is not suited to taking showers - bath-tube is too narrow and too slippery.

ROAR.

Showering naked is good, I think?

Spoiler:
I specially wrote about showering when I knew it has great chance of being top of page to avoid writing this message as TotP.

Bad news: Distant friend just noted on his facebook that he may have problems with seeing his daughter. He stated no specifics but I suspect ex-wife meddling.

Potentially good news: Friend of my parents who borrowed some money from them and gave them back in small rates to me just sold his apartment. When I catch him I might get the rest of the money at once, which would be very helpful at the moment - it'd be between 700-1000 zloty, depending upon how he generous he would feel. Or maybe I should write "if I catch him" as he already moved out of apartment...

Compulsive-obsessive news: I am checking my e-mail third or fourth time today, afraid that I might find e-mail that they find me unfit to become corporate drone.

Also, the apartment sold by my parent's friend was place where I spent a lot of time as a kid... And now it is under renovation and rebuilding. Another part of my childhood gone...

That's the main reason why I wrote about changes.

That and nervous waiting about the job response.

Not blitzing yet.

Buns. Yum-yum...

Man, Drejk, now I want a bao zi.

Taig, have you already seen this?

Another day at the food court, another affirmation that if we're not out of something because the distribution center misplaced our order again, it's probably broken.

At least it's only a week and change until school picks back up.

And then it will be back to the nice and calm land of hormonally imbalanced and overly social tweens and teens in the hallowed halls of learning.

And I won't smell like pizza and dish soap!

I found a great blog (well, actually a comic strip) about midlife crisis... Linking here would be rather pointless because it's in Polish, however.

I'm sure we could polish our Polish (& use google translate)

I suspect that Google translate may fail to translate some of the jokes.

Midlife crisis (or for more literary translation "Crisis of age")

'night everyone.

Finally getting around to watching Red Dwarf on Netflix.

You want to keep all the rooms for yourself, that's why!

For your Harem :P

(That's why the rooms are labelled 'Monday' 'Tuesday'....)

If I had a harem, I damn sure wouldn't be working here.

I have a rather lax shift at work today, GURPS tomorrow and Kingmaker Round 2 on Sunday.

This is turning out to be a rather pleasant week, but I worry that my family is going to ruin that.

You won't regret it... well until Series 7 or so, but even that isn't too bad. And the new Series 10 was actually really good for a revival.

Work done. Yay! Cat-sitting also done. Mjau! Food not done. Boo!

Heheh, I love the line-up I've got for this new Kingmaker. I'll give more details about the four later, once I finish work for today.

I can say now that we've got a Tiefling Magus/Barbarian, a Ratfolk Ranger/Fighter (with a gun), a Hobgoblin Ninja and a Human Wizard.

Japanese warships in Polish harbor!

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Happy Wednesday!

Definitely happier than the guy who ran into the back of that 18-wheeler on I-45 this morning. Poor bastard.

Also, I think we only had to put Charlie back in bed about 15 or 20 times last night.

Scarab Sages

By "we", of course, I mean my wife.

And sad to hear that the Navy will decomm the USS MIAMI due to the extent of the damage from the fire that a@&&$~* set. At least the POS who caused it will spend time in prison.

The Japanese unveiled their latest "destroyer" the other day. I put that I quotes because it looked suspiciously like a mini-carrier or an amphib instead.

But that's nothing. What's really weird is seeing a Japanese Navy ship (or sub) docked in Pearl Harbor.

Scarab Sages

All right folks. Bye for now.

I saw a bit of it on japanese news the other day. I was disappointed that it did not transform and start knocking over buildings.

When the British and French share warships nothing military can be strange any more.

I feel awkward trying to write in first person instead of third person again.

Out of all the stories I've been writing during the last five years, only one or two I had ever written were in first person.

First person's got an easier flow to me. However, I tend to shoot for multiple perspective characters, which means third person is less confusing.

I'm the same on multiple perspectives, but never had the feel for first-person writing. It always felt off to me somehow. =/

Try writing a gamebook. Second person writing rocks!

I should not watch episode 4 of Band of Brothers while slightly drunk - the Dutch kid getting his first taste of chocolate is emotional enough as it is when I'm sober.

(And seriously, the difference between 4% and 6% of alcohol on me is ridiculous. With 4% I can down 2-3 liters before I even start to get a bit giggly [or tired, more often], 6% and one pint is enough to make me cross-eyed - which I do not like!)

I find first person works best for slower, philosophical texts - or more stream of consciousness ones.

I once tried to write a story using first, second, and third person perspectives in different sections. It became a horrible mess, but it was quite fun.

I've done this, as part of a story project using an adventure game format, Zork-style.
