The other day, the wife tells me the boy woke up saying he needed to wash his hands because they were stinky. My wife did not inquire further.....

He also told her he was being bad because it was fun. How do you argue with that?

Yes! First post in a few days is a nekkid post!

He's learning early...

Welcome back, Freehold! Joss kept inquiring as to your whereabouts.

That's good news.

It also sounds like some fawtls are turning their luck around, which is good.

yeah I was away for a bit doing stuff to take my mind off of things that I keep forgetting to tell you guys about. Will share soon, promise.

Scarab Sages

And in other, slightly weird news. Myself and my neighbors have been suffering a multitude of dead birds around our houses. Apparently, a hawk is nesting in the area and making snacks out of the other local avians.

Scarab Sages

Also, amazingly, since I've been here my driving has become noticeably more relaxed. I'm not sure if it's just from being back down south, because of the ease of my daily commute, or because maybe they put something in the air.

Scarab Sages

All right folks. I'm done for today.

I saw "Christina Stiles Presents" and almost missed "About The Author" section.
We were trying to do the razzle and the dazzle and mwa-hey!

Really, the authoriship on that page is very hard to find. The "about the author" blurb is the only indicator I could find that you had written it. Your name isn't even visible on the image of the front cover.

Your name should be in lights, badger!

Otherwise - new job is cool so far, although they limit what can be done on the Internet. So there'll be less morning posting for me. Especially since the phone is hit or miss with signal reliability these days. Stoopid sprint.

Gosh darn private business that actually care about productivity! They have a lot of nerve.

In seriousness, how are you liking the private sector?

Damn them!!!

shakes fist

But, yeah, it's cool. A lot of differences, but not nearly as many as I thought there would be.

Depending on the size of the business and the temperment of management, private employers are perfectly capable of being needlessly beaurocratic :)

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Hmmmmm, I'll have to see about making my name more prominent in the description at least. :)

As an aside, I'm thinking about changing my first name to Joss. "Joss Welham" has a nice ring to it.

Still don't have a refrigerator. They've delayed delivery twice now. I've been cool about it, since I can get by without it, but I'm fairly pissed.

Needless to say, this is the first and last thing I will buy at Conn's. Next time I get a major appliance, it'll be from a national chain.

Behold the joys of refrigeration.

Actually, "schtroumpf" is the French word, in Sweden we use "smurf" (same as the Flemings).

Good luck!

Contract on the house, woo!

Congrats! *fingers crossed*

If everything goes through, what is the next step?

We pack up our van and car with all our remaining possessions, sell what doesn't fit, and drive to Denver to live with friends for a bit while we find jobs and finish up the bankruptcy paperwork. Once we have jobs and a bit of savings, we find a place to live.

I hope all goes well.

I'm so sorry to hear that, BT. Hang in there.

We went to dinner last night and I noticed all the lights on the dashboard lighting up randomly. Then the needles all dropped to their 'off' positions and the displays went blank. After I parked, I tried to start it right away. No dice.

So it's at the shop now. I'm trying to work up the courage to call and find out what the problem(s) is(are). I really wanted the vehicles to just hang in there until we got to Colorado and got jobs, then we could get them all the tires and brakes and batteries they wanted. But nooo-oooo-ooo.

It's always something.

Is there anything I can do to help, Treppa?

Can you give me a ride to Colorado? :D

Hee hee. OK, that's a little outside my ability.

You don't have much competition from a lot of native speakers, unfortunately. :S
