Zombie, your colleagues terrify me.

Wait, wouldn't touching your things with his things count as sexual harassment in USA?

They scarred you naked?

But yeah, it seems that you should be terrified of things they could do to you when they caught you without your clothes.

Nah. They should be afraid of me if I'm the naked one >:3

Never challenge a Finn to a sauna-duel, is all I'm saying.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

BADGER! Yesterday I went to the Compleat Strategist here in NYC and they had a STACK of Doom Comes to Dustpawn. I would have bought one, but I already have it on order to come with my next AP volume.

That was where I went when I was killing time in between getting fingerprinted (I had to renew my investment securities licenses) and meeting one of my cousins for dinner. (Korean Fried Chicken! FHDM should be proud as he introduced me to the deliciousness of the better "K"FC and I have since introduced several other people to it.)

Silver Crusade

I was up too darn early this morning. I had an early meeting and had to get to my office 90 minutes earlier than usual. It meant I had to catch a 6:30am train into NYC. I am not a morning angel.

On a more somber note, I found out that my aunt passed away last night. She is the first one of my parents' generation (on either side) to die. I always liked her, although she lived far away and I saw her very infrequently.

It was not unexpected by any stretch. She died from complications related to diabetes and had chosen to cease her dialysis treatments a few weeks ago because she had no quality of life anymore. That will kill someone very quickly, but she was at peace with her decision.

I hope you didn't smite anyone, boss. You know how smitey you get when you're cranky.

Also, I have to finish statting up this character for FHDM's game. It is a cleric of Cayden Cailean. This should be a hoot.

There was a little farmer's market right around the corner from my office. I picked up some delicious-looking carrots and radishes, along with a jar of strawberry-rhubarb preserves and a cherry tart. I was just too excited to see farmers markets popping up again for the summer.

No turnips? *sniff*

What about cabbages??

Will they be there tomorrow? Can you being a pie or tart to the game?

Turnips aren't in season.

Apples! Apples! Got three kilos of cheaper apples...

Apparently apples will be main constituent of my diet for the next two or three days as I spent Friday to Sunday money on them.

Baked apples with cinnamon & sugar are very palatable. :)

I can only imagine that apples baked by dragonfire are even better!
:D

Sugar? My preciouss! Nooo!

No cinnamon in house, though. And I lack proper oven suitable for backing.

Also, I like raw apples too much to bother with baking them.

Unless I braise them with meat.

But I don't have suitable meat either.

Back from doctor.

Good news is, he doesn't detect any heart problems despite my paranoia or family history. Says it sounds like everything is working fine. Lay off the caffeine and Sudafed, don't exercise too close to bedtime (but keep the exercise up otherwise). Come back if things don't get better.

Said he could have run a bunch of expensive/time consuming tests as well but that would probably have ended with him sending me home with the same suggestions, so we decided not to bother.

Sounds like a good doctor, giving you the option, rather than just going ahead and running expensive tests. :)

Wow, a second birthday game from friends (nearly a month late) really cool of them. At this rate I'll have as many as them. (well not really as I'd need a few hundred more)

Anyway, vegetable lasagne for tea and a French Animated film about the Iranian revolution make for a fun night with friends.

Yeah, this was my first doctor visit in several years, so it looks like I got a good recommendation. =)

Thanks for the well wishes all. =)
