Tomorrow's monster is done. It's a little understated compared to the zloty. :)

this is one reason I look forward to Fridays
Looks like I slept through the blitz due to an unintended nap....but it still made for entertaining reading. :)

What am I doing reading all the blitz? Oh yeah, 'working' ¬_¬
Now I need to thing about what cocktails to make tonight. Hmmm cosmopolitians and...? (and to get the hideously expensive spirits for them)
Get some thick strawberry or raspberry syrup and vodka. Pour strawberry syrup up to half of the shot glass. Then slowly pour chilled vodka over a spoon on the syrup trying not to disturb it.

Now to try and thing of a greater volume drink, like a woo-woo.

* Wanders back into the thread a little bleary eyed after the previous day's FaWtL birthday celebration. *
Good Morning FaWtL folks! And Good Afternoon to our European branch!
And off to work.
I really don't want to, but it's Lock Out Day! At least it will be amusing for an hour or so.
Meanwhile, it's Week 2 of "Call a staff meeting at work before the normal time Orthos shows up and clocks in". This time 8 to my start at 8.30 instead of last week's 8.15. *grumble*
Not a good way to wake up. And still sick. Anniversary date may not happen tonight after all. :(
... and I get here and the meeting's cancelled. So 45 min of overtime at least.
Bluh I need breakfast and caffeine stat.

Well, got in this morning to find an email from our secretary saying that with the boss out I'm Acting Branch Head.

and no itty, bitty living space!
The secretary's email copied the world, including the other branch heads and our division head. I've been considering several different responses.....
Theoretical Response #1:
....Scott who?
Theoretical Response #2:
No hablo inglés.
Theoretical Response #3 (with co-worker):
Me: Surely you can't be serious?
Co-worker: She is serious, and don't call her Shirley.
Then I'd just sit back and wait for the sound of exploding heads.
Note: All of these responses would have been Reply All.
Alas, I shall most likely behave myself.
Although I did try to solicite payment from my co-workers as temptation to go through with one of my responses.

But please spare the younglings!
Last night I realized a partial solution to my need boxes for the move issue:
I've got like 8 to 10 cases of empty beer bottles down in my basement. I hadn't planned to bring most of that with me, so I'm going to just put the bottles out for recycle and use the boxes for some light packing.

Unless they fetch me coffee and Twizzlers. Then I may be convinced to spare them.
I'm considering more coffee.
Yes. Yes indeed I shall get more.
There's been a lot of moving going on in my building lately as we renovate certain areas. Thus, empty boxes have been...plentiful. This morning when I got in, my co-worker said he'd found a bunch of empties. So, he showed me where they were and I grabbed a bunch to stick in my cubicle for now.
Why, yes, I do think we must continue to post until we've at least achieved a new page.

My wife's appetite is growing. If she keeps going this way, I'm pretty sure I'll soon be able to recreate scenes from the opening of Return of the Jedi.
With Charlie in the role of Salcious B. Crumb.
This new parasite is really hitting the "feed me" button.
