Keep this up, and you will have a swarthy gentleman caller visiting you for dinner. And Ravenloft. But mostly for dinner.

I would love to host you for dinner! Be careful what you threaten!

Apparently, this is how I greet my guests. Fortunately I wear an apron when I'm at the stove to prevent scalding spatters in uncomfortable places.

Dayum. Just came out of a meeting with a group of olive producers, and it seems 2013 will be a tough year for the industry.

Prices are exploding worldwide while inventories are running dry (we knew this for a while, but getting down to the numbers and projections made it bleaker). Problem is, we can't just go out and transfer the whole price increase to the consumers, because they'll just stop consuming. So it'll be tricky. Spain is already suffering from this (olive oil is a basic consumer good over there, so it hits hard at home when prices go up), and it will spread to other countries in the comming months.

I think several producers, particularly the tiny ones that depend on big exporters for their sales, will go under, sadly.

Your point?

Just that sometimes, if all the villains are misunderstood then it can be dull/difficult. Saying that most of my BBEG's have perfectly logical reasons for their evil.

But there's no point really, just trying to put so other thoughts into Scintillae's blitz.

After the elaborate and starchy spaghetti and meatballs Saturday, we went with a quick dinner of sauteed fish, roasted carrots, and string beans on Sunday. But what really hit the spot was when John made me pancakes for breakfast. Mmmmmmm.

Morning, all. What did I miss?

Jeez, and this is me without caffeine.

Fear the day I develop a taste for coffee, FaWTL.

Good thing I'm on a supervillain kick today. CoT's gotta go on hold again for a missing player, which lets me start thinking about the other plot I'd like to run.

And it is the perfect excuse to just throw out a roster of the craziest characters I can dream up.

No! Resist! Resiiiiiiist!

Tea and soda are much better caffeine intake alternatives. *sage nod*

Saturday night was our first session of RotRL since the beginning of December. Getting closer and closer to the end of the campaign. What's cool is that we are already planning to follow up this campaign with Shattered Star. One my players will be taking over the GM reins.

Finally bought a tablet as a belated Christmas gift. Went with the Android based ASUS TF300. Finally, something that I can read PDFs on. I just can't get use to all of the scrolling on other devices.

I'm thinking really hard of buying a Windows Surface (the one with the i5 processor and full version of windows 8, not the current one). My brother bought the one out now, and it worked very nicely.

Is this the one with Windows 8 Pro set to come out in February?

I gotta say, my wife bought me a netbook years ago, and I hardly use it. Been thinking of getting rid of it and picking up some kind of tablet instead.

Wouldn't mind hearing some expert opinions. Or at least people's experiences with various tablets, etc. I know Taig has an iPad. What do other folks have and how do you like it. PM me if you feel the need to not clutter the thread with this info.

Well, Scott inadvertently started a global trend (and subsequent supply shortage) when he downloaded his soap-carving video to Youtube. Meanwhile, Tom's new tablet computer quickly proved to be more trouble than it was worth when a computer virus caused it to start spamming all the people in his email contacts with naked animal porn. And, across town, little did Holger and Sabine realize that their plans were set to be disrupted by an imminent invasion of......No, wait! That's my soap opera

And what a prized tosser he is. A scurrellous knave, a vagabond and uncouth rogue. Certainly a "man" deserving to be strung up by his gibbets to teach him manners.

WHAT THE HELL!!!!! Did I not say "one of the few reasons"?!? You are on that very short list, my friend.

But, yes, there are reasons I don't like New York. Hell, there are reasons I don't like lots of places - including New Orleans (where I grew up) and Philadelphia (where I currently live).

Oh, don't get me wrong, I love my netbook. But for what I'd like to use it for a tablet would probably be a better fit.

Not to mention, for some reason, I've never been able to access the internet at home with my netbook. I can connect to our wifi just fine with it, but I try to open up Internet Explorer and I get nothing but error messages. Baffled zombie is baffled.

From my understanding - yes. Although I never go there (unless to pass through). In Philly itself, I pretty much stick to in and around my house (in the north west suburbs), or in and around work (in south Philly). Anywhere else I go with any regularity is outside the city.

At one point I might have, but there doesn't seem to be a point to it anymore.

I originally wanted it was to have something to bring with me on business travel - but now I have a work laptop with an aircard, as well as an iPhone.

Eventually, I started using it to game with. Sadly, my gaming has slowed to an nearly non-existent trickle. Not to mention that with most gaming books being in PDF these days, reading them on a netbook isn't exactly ideal.
