Look naked?

I understand naked eyes when looking but the rest does not have to be naked. It's not warm enough for it.

Well, Max showed up to work only to find that the company had been sold to a Chinese pinball machine manufacturer who subsequently replaced all the employees with anthropomorphic pinball machines. Meanwhile, Steve's visit to Texas took a dangerous turn when he showed up at a gathering with salsa made in New York City. And, across town, Scott continued to search for that one, perfect.......No, wait! That's my soap opera!
NEW YORK CITY!?!?!!

Scarab Sages

The wife went over to her sister's apartment to celebrate the approaching new year in style. Since I had no desire to hang with a bunch of chicks, I'm staying back at my parent's house and playing the good parent.

Thank You Drejk, I am sure yours will be amazing as you deserve.

Scarab Sages

An hour and a half to go here in NOLA. Really hoping the kid doesn't get woken up by these damnable fireworks.

Otherwise, it was nice knowing you 2012. Here's hoping your successor is better.

Gott nytt år peoples!

Seeing as I got up at Midnight, and then helped my parents prepare their New Year's party, I ended up falling asleep around 9 o'clock... Think this is the first time I've missed the year turning since I was six or seven.

Not tha't I'm complaining - when you've gone to work around 2 in the morning for half a decade it starts to feel kinda nice when you get a chance to sleep through a whole night for once.

Nothing like New Year's Eve to make me remember how g$*!#%n lonely it can be, even with a few friends.

so, finally the time "between the years" is over and laundry can be done without endangering loved ones (according to an old superstition)

today we go to my dad for cured and cooked pork rips with sauerkraut and mashed potatos
according to another superstition you have to eat Sauerkraut, herring or lentils today or you will run out of money in he new year

coool,
R.E.M. concert on the annual 2 day live show marathon in public tv, ,without comercial breaks of course
yesterday the only show I watched was Queen from 86, and Simon and Garfunkel reunion

today Sting at 2 , it gets good when I have to go to bed, I guess I will record the Metallica, AC/DC and Die Ärzte, maybe I will watch the Stones at 4

Good morning FAWTLY Folk! Merry New Year!

Scarab Sages

The boy woke up this morning and the wife brought him in our room to get his diaper changed. After she was done with him, he told me night night and led his mommy out of the room. So I got to go back to sleep.

Justice was served.

Agreed, a lovely New Year to all. This one will be FAWESOME!

Scarab Sages

Kept flipping back and forth between the Walking Dead marathon and Return of the Jedi last night. An interesting combination of New Year's Eve TV watching.

Not sure about today, but hopefully it won't be too annoying.

I grew up with a similar tradition. We have to eat pork and sauerkraut for good luck. It came from my parent's Pennsylvania Dutch background. So today it's pork roast and sauerkraut for dinner.

P. S. I wish FAWTLys every where a better 2013!

Happy New Year!! Hope everyone has a great one.

Time to sleep. Tomorrow is a friend's funeral.

Great start of a new year. Yeah.

Rang in the new year sitting alone in my room, drinking hot cocoa, and watching Dragon Ball Z. It was awesome.

Went to a party, spent most of it eating, talking LOTR and Star Wars with the preacher's son, watching a couple of guys make complete fools of themselves playing Jenga, and texting Scint, then watched awesome fireworks. Nothing got set on fire though, and nobody got hit (unlike two years ago).

I played Plants Vs. Zombies.

This sounds similar to my yearly new years tradition. Although I did discover that I can get quite emotional about some of those old DBZ eps after a bottle of wine. Embarrassing but true. :)

Also, it irritates the heck out of my kid that I still know more about Dragon Ball Z than he does. I get great enjoyment out of this.

Last night was a bit disjointed with everyone kinda doing their own thing. Also kidlet had a meltdown when I made him throw away all the glowsticks at the end of the night. Bought a huge pack of them for him to play with and he had a hard time letting go. I did get to enjoy some Angry Orchard cider though. So that was good.

Today I put away all the Christmas decorations. Also I made crispy duck and mooncakes. Both were incredibly delicious. I ate too many mooncakes though. My stomach hurts a bit. Ah well. Next time I have to find some other folks to share them so I don't give in to temptation to eat so many. :)

Dear foreman, I really, really, really would appreciate it if you told me beforehand when I don't have to show up at work. Sure, the exercise is nice, but since I'm not getting paid for walking to work and then back again I'd have preferred to do something more productive with my time, like jogging a similar distance, for instance...

Time to shave and get my backside moving towards the graveyard.

Just saw a photo of friends' New Year's Eve Mobster LARP. After seeing so terribly crowded area I am even more happy that I didn't go.

I've forgotten to shave, and work's getting tedious with the amount of customers trying to call here.

On the bright side, I got some tips on writing and a small raise.
