Kukri and falcata odd stats

Rules Questions

I noticed that while both the kukri and the falcata have the same basic idea curved blade with the sharp side on the inside curve. They follow different trends with their crit range. The kukri having 1x-20 x2 and the falcata having

The falcata is also an exotic weapon with absurd stats... T_T

It should be simply a slashing short sword with a good critical threat range, not an uber-weapon with a damn too good crit and a lot of damage...

They made up for it by making the sword cane suck much, much worse then other martial one-handed weapons though (straight up it is worse then most simple one handed weapons).

personally I think the falcata would be balanced just fine if they dropped the damage a die... but there is no easy fix for the sword cane.

The Exchange

D8, 18-20x2 crit exotic sounds fair.
D8 x3 crit makes more sense to me, and x3 instead of high range crit for kukri too

The sword cane sucks because it's a sword in disguise. You can take it into many places where you aren't allowed to bring weapons.

Is the sword cane treated as a weapon with its own particular stats, or just a poorly balanced short sword or rapier?

That is nothing but flavor.... to quote Sean's mantra flavor should never get in the way of game balance.
