Errata'd Offensive Defense Overpowered?

Pathfinder First Edition General Discussion

Am i readingthis right?

You gain a dodge bonus equal to the SA dice rolled on a SA.

WTF- Now if it was for 1round (which) i assume it is, tha'd be cool.
Hit a guy for 10d6, get +10 to ACtion for one round.

BUUUTT..
Dodge bonuses stack.
With a flank and subtle Shortswords I can hit at LEAST two or 3 times (more with Outflank and a buddy with a menacing weapon) on a TWF build.

The AC's would be rediculous.

Same source -- so the bonuses don't stack with themselves.

+1.

Killed the thread in one sentence, nice

Forgot about the same source bit. Cheers.

Still-life awesome for a low level talent. Much better than befuddling strike (which lasts longer and benefits the party)

+10 to a rogues AC is very nice (lasts 1rd right?) and makes melle a lot safer.

Yes, it lasts 1 round. In any case, +10d6 sneak attack means rogue lvl 21 - by that level things get pretty weird.

Is not strong. It has been just errataed in a reasonable, scaling-with-level talent.

By flavour if fits very well, too - I see the rogue evading blow of parrying the heck with a mix of overconfidence and desperation.

It only applies to spells, magical effects and bonuses that aren't dodge bonuses. It is a vague rule, to say the least.

Quote:

The important aspect of
bonus types is that two bonuses of the same type don’t
generally stack. With the exception of dodge bonuses,
most circumstance bonuses, and racial bonuses, only the
better bonus of a given type works (see Combining Magical
Effects).

It is an Ex ability and isn't clasified as an effect. I don't know what was the problem with the circumstance bonus, to be honest.

If you can stack AC from multiple attacks it is far better than existing low level sneak attack talents; it's in the line of Bleeding Attack, but Bledding Attack specifies that it doesn't stack with itself.
