Since driders are sentient it would probably be considered a form of slavery and therefore an evil act, but to answer the question, that is up to the DM.
The party is made of drow, demon worshipers, and combinations of the previous two. Little slavery would not even make our naughty list.
So we were thinking a few nice slaves will make us look a little more important but cannot find how much our spider drow will set us back.
