Is there any chance of getting updates for the Draconic Bloodline to incorporate the new True Dragons in the Bestiary 2? I have been itching to play an Umbral Draconic Sorcerer since the Core Rulebook first released, but sadly Home Brew Rules are not allowed at my gaming table (if it ain't in the Rule Books, it ain't in the game).

You could use the Shadow Bloodline from the APG.

For most of them it's a simple case of picking a draconic bloodline that has an appropriate breath weapon.

True, but I was more looking at the flavour of having the other Draconic Bloodlines fleshed out.

Plus, I'm not as big a fan of the Shadow Bloodline as I was hoping to be, given that I like Shadowy things (I'm a big fan of the Shadowdancer despite what others think of it).

Which is harder with the Umbral Dragon than with the other four... :(

Agreed. I'd also like to see a Half-Dragon variant of the Umbral and Nirvana Dragons.

It's a toughie. I'd suggest asking for special permission from your DM to have a negative energy cone and to research negative energy spells based on some of the spells you would otherwise be selecting. Other than that, make the distinction that your breath weapon doesn't heal undead and I think you're all set! I know that if Vampiric Touch dealt negative energy damage it would be a really phenomenal spell for this kind of character, and it would have the added benefit of making the spell better as well.

I have played with making my own Umbral version of the Bloodline a while ago, long before the Bestiary 2 re-presented them, but as I said, my group just doesn't use non-Paizo material (when we first starterd using the Pathfinder Rules, they briefly allowed Tome of Secrets, but that has since been revoked). I really had to beg hard to be allowed to playtest a Magus.

I'm guessing Ross' answer was the polite Official way of saying no... :(

The Exchange

Maybe it'll end up in the new caster book coming out in a couple months?
