I am very happy about this project's completion, and for DSP's second print-run for this product--before its release! Congratulations, Jeremy and Andreas. I sense my preordered book will be arriving soon . . .
I, personally, am very happy with the changes DSP has made to this psionics update. I look forward to seeing what you create in the future!
EDIT: Ooh! I'm first! :D

THANK YOU!!
This is one I've been wanting to see.
I'll be getting this one as soon as I can.One question on this. Is the Thri-Kreen in this?
Chris,
Unfortunately, Thri-Kreen are product identity of Wizards of the Coast, meaning only people that WotC gives explicit permission can use them. So, no, they are not included. The same is true of both gith races.
However, we did introduce the Ophiduan race, which is a serpentine race, as well as made the Blues a full playable race in and of themselves.

Good to know, I wasn't sure if WoTC owned them or not.

Looks like this is a Christmas present for me this year. Just noticed this in my downloads and saw the email. I do have a question about the feat Psionic Talent. Is the power point increase going to stack with itself and be an increase to the total amount at each level?
It stacks with itself. So the first time, two points. The second time, three more points, for a total of five points, etc. it gets progressively better the more feats you're willing to invest.

May I ask how PU was updated to support the PFRG systems?
That's not exactly a quick answer.
First, all races we're balanced to be LA of 0. This included making them all of type humanoid.
Second, all base classes were given abilities to make sure it was worthwhile to stay in the class until level 20. For psions, this was discipline abilities. For psychic warriors, paths. For soulknifes, blade skills. For wilders, new surge types and a capstone ability. In addition, the soulknife as a d10 class, was given full bab.
Skillswere streamlined similar to how pathfinder did: psicraft was rolled in spellcraft, use psionic device into use magic device.
Save or die abilities were rebalanced following the pathfinder model, largely turning them into save or suffer instead.
Shapechanging was completely overhauled into a chain of for powers and limited in scope.
To name but a small part of the things changed.
:)

Damn you, Jeremy. Are you tempting me to buy PU?!?

PDF Procured.
I'll get the hard copy after Xmas.
So much for getting to bed early tonight...
SM
SM, I'm seriously thinking of purchasing the pdf/hc combo.
How does that work? (i've never purchased such combos before.) The pdf's available in my download immediately while the book's sent by snail mail?

Yup, that's exactly how it works.

First of all, happy to see so many people are liking what we've made. It is as much the creation of the fans, as it is Dreamscarreds. Without the participation of so many in the Open playtests, it would never have been as polished as it is now.
Feel free to stop by at our website if you have questions. Check it out at dreamscarredpress.com and come visit us in the forums.
We will naturally keep this thread under surveillance, but you might get answers faster at our own website.
We're also putting the next book - Psionics Expanded, into an Open playtest, just like this one was. The Chirurgeon and first batch of Blade Skills are already available at our website.

I'm confused as to the relationship Dreamscarred has with Paizo? Does this count as an official Pathfinder supplement or is it third party material? Is Dreamscarred part of Paizo, or partners in Pathfinder with them or something?
3rd party material via Paizo's generous licensing.

We are a Third Party Publisher using Paizo's Pathfinder Compatibility License. We don't have any official relationship with Paizo aside from the one allowing Paizo to sell our products at their website and the one allowing us to create material supporting the Pathfinder Roleplaying Game. Psionics Unleashed is not a Paizo product.
It's the same as other publishers who release Pathfinder compatible products (Alluria, LPJ, Adamant, etc.)

So he did, guess I was more all atwitter and flustered from his PM than I thought. :)

I'd be happy to hear about this myself. Heck, if I was a code monkey, I'd might consider doing it myself.

I don't want to derail this thread but I highly doubt a official Herolab version of this would ever come out as it is not officially a Paizo or Pathfinder product, it's a 3PP Pathfinder compatible product. The Herolab guys seem to be sticking with Piazo Pathfinder products only for the Pathfinder version of Herolab. They are most likely under contract about what they can release for the Herolab Pathfinder.

DSP is pathfinder compatiable, but they also have their own campaign setting and sourcebooks so there is no reason why it can't be done. They don't have to release it under pathfinder. They can release it under DSP, as its own game.

Psionics for pathfinder...finally. excellent, about @#%% time!!!
oh, wait, it's 3rd party and not official paizo product which means my DM will never let me use it...bogus!!!
*keeps dreaming of the day when psionics will recieve core treatment and thus be playable in his group.*
You might have to DM a game and get another player to use 3rd party stuff so he won't think it is all bad.

Personally, I find the odds of the people at Wolf Lair ever putting this book into HeroLab to be scarce to none, which saddens me as I freaking love this book, but what they are currently (planning on) doing is to add in the 3.5 OGL Psionics, which would (I think) cost nothing extra and would be one of the options you can choose from for your character's source material. Once that subsystem is inserted, it then becomes a (comparatively) small manner to create the DSP classes as custom classes (which I am defintely planning on doing) to use for character creation.

Great review by Dabbler, satisfies many of my questions regarding balance improvements since 3.5, Pathfinderisation etc, since I hadn't been following the playtest thread.
However, I'm also curious about the physical presentation. Is Psionics Unleashed interior pages B&W or colour? Softback or hardcover? How is the artwork etc?
Thanks,
