A few Q's about Arcane Pool duration between first level and fifth level

Round 3: Revised Magus Discussion

Shadow Lodge

In Arcane Pool it says that the ability lasts one minute:

"At 1st level, a magus can expend 1
point from his arcane pool as a swift
action to grant any weapon he is
holding a +1 enhancement bonus for
1 minute."

Later it talks about using the ability differently at fifth and it says:

"These bonuses and properties
are decided when the arcane pool point is spent and
cannot be changed until the next time the magus uses
this ability. These bonuses do not function if the weapon
is wielded by anyone other than the magus.
A magus can only enhance one weapon in this way
at one time. If he uses this ability again, the first use
immediately ends."

Does this mean at fifth level the ability lasts till the next time the Magus changes this ability, or is it still a minute? I'm thinking it sort of lasts forever or till the ability is changed. I've been wrong before.

Dark Archive

I don't think so. I think it is reinforcing the point that you can't stack up several uses of your points to add lots of bonuses or switch your bonuses on the fly once they've been allocated.

Scarab Sages

Agreed with the above post. The ability only ever lasts for 1 minute per use. You can use the ability again during that one minute if you need to, but the previous effects are canceled, the new effects are gained, and the time resets to its full 1 minute duration.

Thanks a lot guys, I appreciate your answers.
