Is it possible for someone to clarify what this exactly means in regards to the rules.
"Anyone with a cover credit on a hardcover RPG book is ineligible"
My question is more in regards to a collaborative project, where an author name would appear along with several others on the inside cover of a hardcover RPG book, would that disqualify someone from submitting?
I would assume so but I am not entirely sure based on this wording, any help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

I don't believe that would disqualify you. A "cover credit" means exactly that in the industry. Your name...on the cover. Contributors to a hardcover book, but without their actual name on the cover should still be eligible. In addition, a "cover credit" on a softcover book doesn't disqualify you either, unless it was for a Paizo published softcover.
As always, if I'm off-base, Vic or Sean will likely come along and correct me.

"Cover credit" means "appearing on the outside front cover of the book."
As opposed to "listed on the title page/table of contents/credits page," which is not the outside cover of the book (unless you're talking about a strange book that doesn't have a "cover" page).
I am talking about appearing on the inside cover as an author (along with 5 others) of this book, which won't have an outside author listed on it.

Maybe that will make it more clear.
Thanks in advance for the help.

Hmmmm...that's an interesting dilemma. Technically, it's a book without an author on the cover. And yet, if it did list the author(s) on the cover, presumably, your name would be among them, yes? I don't know. It's Paizo's call. But that actually does sound more like you wouldn't qualify. Congratulations! You've successfully found a unique niche!
Vic? Sean? Any thoughts?

If there is nobody listed on the outside cover, then nobody has a cover credit.
I'll repeat:
"Cover credit" means a credit on the outside cover.
A credit on the title page, table of contents, or credits page is not a "cover credit."
And unless Kenzer doing something really weird, they're not printing any credits on the inside cover of the book. Most hardback game books have a blank inside cover, or an art piece, or an abstract pattern, not text.
If the book was closed and I wandered by it on a table, would I see your name? If no, then you do not have a cover credit on the book.
You're making this out to be more complex than the situation really is.
Is it a hardback book?
Are there authors listed on the front cover of the book?
Are you one of the authors listed on the front cover of the book?
If the answer to ANY of those questions is "no," then you do not have a hardcover credit, and thus are eligible to enter RPG Superstar. :)
