I most contend with this. Paladins have Charisma as a primary stat, Diplomacy as a class skill, are immune to fear, and grant people around them a +4 bonus against fear. Likewise they get mercies with allow them to remove fatigue and exhaustion. Finally they are immune to disease and can remove disease via their lay on hands. Since an undeveloped embryo is a parasite by definition (attaching to and feeding off the host body), they can even prevent unwanted pregnancies via remove disease if desired.

Paladins are sexual gods. No where in their code does it say they must remain or even encourage celibacy. A Paladin could literally sleep with every disease ridden wench in the back-allies of Korvosa without fear of disease or unwanted complications, while simultaneously healing and curing everyone through the power of lurv.

The finest example of Power Perversion Potential I have yet seen.

The only reason a male Paladin finishes last is cause it's good manners to make your partner finish first. *grin*

And he's either doing it for free or tithing to the prostitutes while he cures them with the power of healing boners. It'd be wrong not to!

*bows* ^_^

Actually I had a group of Paladins that were kind-of like this in a campaign of mine, and I recreated them in many ways in my current campaign setting. They were the devoted followers of a fertility goddess (sex, love, life, etc). Prostitution was is in many ways sacred to them, and they also provided healing and care to mothers during child-birth and the like. They would often use seduction as a form of diplomacy, and were generally slow to solve problems through violence. Likewise, they also protected against unwanted pregnancies via remove disease, similar to the morning-after pill.

I had a group who, upon meeting a few Paladins of this religion, were very impressed. At first, they found them odd, because a lot of people think of Paladins very specific terms. However, I got a lot of commentary from the players who thought they were really good Paladins, Clerics, and generally cool as an order. They liked there less militaristic nature and what-not. They also were impressed by them when they actually did lay down the law.

All in all, much fun.

This thread premise is immature, and belies a fundamental misunderstanding of the issue.

It's Con, not Cha.

Nah, that's just when you've sealed the deal. To get them into the sack, that takes Charisma. Still, you bring up another point in favor of the Paladin. Or Barbarian/Paladin multiclassed characters.

However, I don't believe anybody has brought up the Oracle, another Charisma based caster, but with pity potential!

A Paladin with a high charisma not only closes the deal, but also has enough swift-action lay on hands and mercies to continue smiting until his or her opponent is blissfully unconscious if desired, since not only does the Paladin (he or she) likely have a good Constitution, and high Fortitude saves to resist nonlethal damage and fatigue, but also has Divine Grace (further boosting those impressive Fortitude saves) and the ability to say "Hmmm, I'm getting tired. *swift action lay on hands, removes a lot of nonlethal damage and fatigue condition*"

Yes, a Paladin is every lover's dream. Strong, brave, great personality, quite literally a Good guy or gal, and crazy good in the bedroll.

Likewise, when you've had a hard day at work, he or she can give you a nice lay on hands massage and actually restore your poor worn out body; or cure headaches, or that muscle you threw out while you were trying that wild new smiting stance. >_^

+1. I'd totally be interested in a tiefling lady paladin.

there's something comforting about partners that can cast remove disease...

I love this thread so much.

Also love tiefling ladies. :3

Edit: Can't believe it took me this long to post my favorite paladin pic.

Well, if TOZ has brought it to pictures...
I think the girls from Claymore make for credible tiefling paladins.
I just recently started watching the anime. So far... awesome.

And yeah, that's SFW. Let's not post something that isn't, so we don't get this thread closed, hmm?

Now engaging in threadomancy...

Uhh, if my last campaign is any indication, the pompous Elf Wizard got more tail than any other character in the game. It was sad, it's like he was constantly casting Drop Trou or something...

Yes, but guys that finish last get repeat 'friends' :p

That's kinda why I actually thought up a love potion that worked somewhat like the Luck potion in Harry Potter, in that instead of forcing someone to love you, it instead directs you via an instinctual feeling to the person in the area you're most likely to be compatible with.

Also, am I the only one who thinks the main reason The Book of Erotic Fantasy failed is that it forgot the second most cardinal rule of sex in RPGs, IE "When In Doubt, Fade To Black", thus a lot of their material was useless without much awkwardness/creepyness resulting at the table.

And they also forgot the reason for said second cardinal rule, IE NO ONE WANTS TO SEE YOUR WIZARD'S DICK/NO ONE WANTS TO PLAY IN YOUR TERRIBLE FAPFICTION and thus the way they went at it was a fools endeavor.

Weird thread, maybe even disturbing, but as far as Wizard Paladin thing, it always depends on bloodline, and race. Wizard or sorcerer girls and guys like elves, and no one will probably stick around the abomination one.

It comes down to personality. When we do romances it is a plain roleplaying thing. We even roll for pregnancy which one player seems to always seems to happen despite my long odds. he is constantly getting pregnant XD Half Orcs have carried the day as a fighter, by showing their strength, while halflings have won their love by being funny. I would never roll for such a thing, especially since some of the famous types of romances rarely have high charisma.

boef failed? Not at my table. We use it regularly when the situation calls for it. Fun is had by all, and it has even lead to some interesting developments nine months later. The only Cardinal rule when it comes to gaming is that everyone should have fun. In my games the boef is part of said fun, unless someone objects. Please keep your overly large brush away from me.

I would like to contend that it is always words that undress you. That wizard has no need of enchantment spells to get most anyone into the sack. Please folks, understand that being pretty is not what truly counts. If your prettyboy sorcerer is about as smart as his toad, and that's his pet toad, not his familiar, he is the one who will end up in someone's sack on THEIR initiative.

P.S. Morality Undone is also at p. 99 of the Book of Vile Darkness.
P.P.S. Whether the dusty old spellbook helps you get someone into the sack depends on what you do with it. And on how heavy it is.

Grand Lodge

If it's CRB size, you're more likely to get them into a shallow grave than the sack.

Grand Lodge

Also, wizards do have sex.

Oh? How exactly do you use it, because I'm now interested in how you put that infamous tome to use.

Also, I am baffled at how this thread has gone on so long without anybody bringing up that Terry Pratchett song "A Wizard's Staff Has Knob On The End".

Sigh... You had to bring it up??? After all our work not to?

Book of Erotic Fantasy merely depends on the campaign. The material is generally okay, crunchwise. The stuff like the sex lives of oozes is is often too simple to use practically. The truly vile part of it is the pictures...

Primarily in determining pregnancy, stds, and proflactics. Especially the magical or unusual ones. The occasional spell makes an appearance, usually when the PCs least expect it. Have yetto use the pprestige classes however, and I doubt I ever will. The alignment based sexuality lead to an interesting debate in another game, and helped to resolveqa really confusing in/sorta kinda out-game question. It's quite useful. The pictures were just fine by me , but I was raised by nurses who made sure I knew what even the most obscure disease looked like at a rather young age, and so I'm far from squeamish. .
