terra sin nomen (earth without name) A.K.a. epic fantasy campaign world

Homebrew and House Rules

The world was reformed by the great demon lords. The GDL changed life as we know it by adding magic and non-human races. The GDL destroyed 20th century technolgy and returned to medieval tech. But one of the demon lords created the death spawn which became the orc race.Several hundred years passed after the great reformation. The humans started the great war which involved al races but there was a death spawn plot to create a leader named " The great dragon "

the great dragon created the dragon-born but this was a fatal mistake. because the dragon-born created rebellion against the death- spawn.

After one million years the world was at relative peace. However a war was in the air. the high druid council was created to maintain peace and order and presrve nature from evil such as the death spawn.

Scarab Sages

This is of course an entirely subjective opinion, but I like my fantasy worlds separate from the Real World, unless they are clever alternate-reality constructions (which needs to be extremely well thought-through to work). The introduction with the demon lords just reminds me too much of the Scientology "creation myth" to work for me. Given that the resulting fantasy world doesn't seem to remember its link to current Earth, taking place a million years later, what's the benefit? Is there anything to set world as it is now apart from the regular D&D orcs-elves-and-dwarves fantasy worlds?

Cheliax is a nation in Golarion; I'd suggest you come up with an original name for your original world. Similarly, it sounds like you named your fire god "firegod" and your moon goddess "moongoddess" etc -- can you think of any real-world culture with such straightforward names? These things hamper the suspension of disbelief. Again, this is just my take on things, feel free to disagree.

For the record, "earth without name" is "terra sine nomine" in Latin.

I appreciate your thoughts, what would make it better?

I notice you have a kindgom based on Ancient Greece; a kingdom based on Ancient Germaic peoples; and a kinddom based on Oerth.

You also have very generic dieties instead of the Olympians, the Aesir or the Oerthian pantheon.

Have you ever studied a mythology? I did and I find it fascinating. I know it's not every ones cup of tea. It might help reshape your world.

In example, www.theoi.com is a great reference website for studying Greek mythology. There are 3 or 4 generations of gods in conflict with each other! They could be the pantheons for your whole world.

I would also reconsider some of your backstory. A world recreated by the "Great Demon Lords" would be a horrifying place to me. In my mind, it would be filled with creatures from the abyss.

Just my opinions.
