Howdy! RAM96 here in San Antonio. I'm tired of playing RPGs with my Dad as GM. I'd like to start a group here in San Antonio for Teenagers. I suggest we meet at one of the public libraries, such as Seemes or Tobin/Oakwell. For our initial get together, we could meet at a Starbucks, Dragon's Lair or Alien Worlds. What I am wondering is will I need the campaign guide for golarion

how about post cataclysmic as the fantasy genre you would use.

The world was reformed by the great demon lords. The GDL changed life as we know it by adding magic and non-human races.The GDL destroyed 20th century technolgy and returned to medieval tech. But one of the demon lords created the death spawn which became the orc race.Several hundred years passed after the great reformation. The humans started the great war which involved al races but there was a death spawn plot to create a leader named " The great dragon "

the great dragon created the dragon-born but this was a fatal mistake. because the dragon-born created rebellion against the death- spawn.

After one million years the world was at relative peace. However a war was in the air. the high druid council was created to maintain peace and order and presrve nature from evil such as the death spawn.

p.s. I would like some suggestions for I have only created these things and one city and the map.

In the month of the sunstrike, the great immortal king drake spring had a vision of the sun exloding in a thousand different directions and then being reborn a split second later but he did noy know how society would change forever because of it so he told his council and they told him to not worry about it he was just imagining but he prepared and he selected a few volunteers that fight, read, write, and use magic and more useful skills. but on the last day of the month king drake and his crew ran to the cold storage pods but it was to late the sun had burnt them to a crisp.however there were surviors to this apocalpse who did not die in the sun strike (now known as the fall) they went into caves or other underground locations.

now society is separetd into 4 different societies such as the kingdom of drake,the sandworm imperium, the empire of khalatar and the merchant clans of khalar. and because of the constant steam polloution from the fallen and the sunstrike they live in a hot desert world that gets a misty rain almost every two months so the people of this world have goten desperate and will use contraptions that use urine to make water as well as oasis which are becoming few and farther between there are ruins of citys everywhere as wel as monsters which is why al cities and villages are walled and have a militia and there is a cult that believes the fallen have a planet colony and so they make a space ship to get off the place known as the twisted land

a herd of 96 rams runs through the south from a dragon flock.

idea #1 maybe there are hunter gather societies in the wilds that are really primitive and some are cannibals.

idea #2 perhaps if you would have to roll for magic on speacial conditions and if you fail the diffuculty class you get scarred by the magic in weird or horrible ways such as getting scales or getting your arm vaporized and having to get bionics to regain your arm such as are the ways of magic in this world.

perhaps magic is dying which is why it is acting so strangely
and maybe people are trying to bring back the magic in a normal way the way it was before the gods war and not how it is happenening, so cults of the new monotheistic god also trying to bring the world to its full natural glory and not the demonic world it is today.

I would have to wait awhile on the name, though...

more fluff: there are two kinds of dreamers in this world, the
dream-like and the fallen, the dream-like are usually lawful good and neutral good but never chaotic good they live in an almost utopian society but their people are human supremacists and they concoct propaganda about life outside of their cities and how the humanoids are evil monsters from another world that are coming to destroy the humans,and they have trains that take them from each city with windows that are magicaly treated to make the dream-like leaders see what they want their citizens to see.
however the fallen are a people that are always chaotic good and sometimes chaotic neutral they have been mutated by the magic they use
and they will sometimes have bionic arms because of their mutated bodies they believe that the dream-like should be "awoken" and restored to life. so these two people will fight over using technology
because the dreamlike like to use magic treated technology but the fallen use both in unison not unlike their rivals.

really I think if you had the time you would make an awesome game.

can you come up with the setting concept leafar?

I was thinking of calling the world ebion
and 3 of the moons can be seen from at night and all of them are full of aliens, but no space ships, maybe guns though, maybe steam power I think you should decide

well I could run it because i obviosly have the books but i have only run one game as I said before and it was tabletop but i could look in the gm guide about play by post and start thinking of ideas and making adventures, so.. yeah I might think about it after the world is created

I just noticed something on the first post it was the planets orbiting the sun problem, and heres my answer there are 12 other planets orbiting the sun your planet is the third planet from the sun.

I thought i'd let you know that i started with 4e hated it and switched to pathfinder so I guess you can say im a newb to rping
because I started in january.

If you run this world can you run it play by post, maybe I could run it? but... the last time i ran one I started rail roading and nobody likes that...except some people I think, could I join in ahead of time? if you do say yes I would like to let you know that I'm already in a group but I'm fine with that.

p.s since you started this world you should name most of it.

changes:
# 1 there are 15 other continents scattered across the world and two mega continents that arose from the water.
# 2 the humans and humanoids from this world are fragments of the souls of the gods, and the monsters are left over animals from the first age of this world that have mutated from the gods war

p.s if you dont want sci fi like stuff then I'm sure later I can think of something else for your world, also we need more people working on this

question #5 how old is the world the world? is as old as the first god in creation and he is over 20 millenia old.

question #6 what does the world look like? it is a water world that is full of islands and the animals are wildly different from our earth.

question #7 why is the world like this? it flooded after the gods warred over the position of who would get to be the god king,
at first it created a wasteland but soon it flooded from the torrential
rains that washed over the world, the rain would'nt stop until 100 years later. soon after some land would rise and split and turn into islands.

question #8 who lives on the islands after the war? elves, humans, dwarves, half sea elves, sea elves, halfling and half orcs but they only live in the known world which although big (about the size of north america and asia combined) (I don't know how big that is)
there is still much to explore and still lots of danger to enclose them in the area.
