So, as you can see now Avion, you were unable to join the fight as you were turned to stone, that d20+3 was a saving throw, you failed it.
Avion was turned to stone. So your in the same boat as Han Solo was when he was frozen in Carbonite.
Your most certainly not dead, but most definitely not playable in this form.
You as a player, are free to keep going in this PBP, as a matter of fact I would love for you to stay, you have a couple options.
Should the time come when you are freed, I'd have no problem with you switching back to Avion and wondering what the heck happened.
I want you as a player to stick around. :)

Hm... dammit, now this is hard :S Don´t want stop playing "Avion", since got really stuck to his characteristic and I got connected to him: Honestly, this is really first time I have ever enjoyed playing so much, even if this just PbP and I had fun with everyone.
As a side note, I don´t know about others if they enjoyed my playstyle or not. Feedback is appreciated. However, all the fairness: I rolled, I failed = I froze. Yeap.

Suggestion: There was divine magic going through me (nothing related to save yes) but it should be still active. The sheer believe to yourself and fooling your own mind could be something like "I am not stopped / I am invicible". The Darkness around me is pulsing in synchronised tune with still residing divine energy around. And If I spent now my last Hero Point

I thought about that Avion, but decided not to allow hero points to be that powerful. Technically, he isn't dead, just stoned...so the crew could still save you if they choose, but it would be questing time to do that.

EDIT:Well, if it was petrifying gaze, dc is 15? with resistance(+1) or Protection from Good (would mean that she was good align): I could have avoided... could have cast it along the Deatwatch, but yes, bending of rules and I don´t like it myself :S
Wondering also about the Black Liquid potion now hanging inside my robe. Guessing just what that is or anything related.
Hm... can´t really see any other way for this, if not then with Hero Point wasted to cast resistance as last resort.

The DC was not 15, it was a bit higher, even casting the spell it wouldn't of helped. Being a CHR based save, she has a tad higher CHR than the average Medusa. (The DC was 17 Fort)
There's still a chance you can be saved in the long run though.
I'm fairly open to any new characters you want to try out. Avion needs a stone to flesh effect right now, or more powerful magic/effect to get unfrozen.
True :D But I am just guessing now if ANY are willing to "help" our so kind evil overlord here ahah. And true: Stone to Flesh is Sorcerer/Wizard lvl 6 spell, which I guess is out of hand.
Having hard time coming up with character: just jumping to crew and thinking also way, how would be possible resurrect later him (well, need to be guest + most likely my 2nd character would need to do it... if there is no kind soul there? heh)

I was thinking more of an npc that hasn't been in the spotlight yet. But if you wanted something more specific just roll up a new dude, and I'll get 'em in the game easy enough.

Excellent, I want you to stick around so this is good news. You can level them up as you see fit, generate stats, buy gear etc as you did at the start. Level 3 max
you can pick from the list here: Url to crew list Try to pick one that hasn't been used if possible, if they don't have a desc. make it up. Don't pick a large race, i.e. the ogre, half dragon or minotaur. They're out of scope for PCs.
If none appeal to you roll up a new creation and you be ready to go as soon as the next event unfolds.

So, I decided I will go the route of....
Gellied, Gnome Male. = Advancing him as a Wizard >D
Due to friendly competition and inventing new stuff, Gellied always had easy time and fun with Faed, although he is worried about his friend time to time (he noticed just couple days ago, how he is acting next to her).
Sharing same mind and not liking others to erase their invention or just disturbing them, everything is fine. However... recently his magic has been disappearing or not functioning so well. The threat of monsters and now dead bodies in the water has caused him to worry. Being neutral of things, he noticed himself listening time to time the ship surgeon... Nerull priest and Evil one with big E.
Time passes and he is still unsure, but he doesn´t trust him. Everyone is having hard time and trying to do best, and Gellied is trying to see situation from all sides, but somehow this looks now bad. Unsure, what is going on, the Gnome keeps silent and watches other people action and trying to ponder situation

Fighting might be a strong word, but this was NPC fluff, your free to ignore that if you want. Or run with it. You might not even care Faed is sweet on Ieste, but he thinks your going for it.
Well, I just happened to read the "Sorcerers get the woman, Wizards are alone"...
but hey, Wizards got at least two pointy heads, if you get what I mean ;P
