Among the following iconics, who'd be:
Can barely stand in the same room with each other?
Chillingly professional (with weapon/spell ready)?
Don't care if the other lives or dies?
Will watch their back if paid enough?
Teammates?
Fight back to back automatically?
Share food or drink or both?
Share a, ah, "companion"?
Share treasure without hesitation?
Bromance?
The love that dare not speak its name.Iconics:
Ezren
Harsk
Lem
Sajan
Seltyiel
Valeros
Merisiel. Cause she's the best.

You not only asked too many questions, but several of them weren't even questions. They were just words or half sentences that made no sense.
So I defaulted to the lovely angel and delicate flower that is Merisiel. (swoon... rushes out into living room to admire the painting of Merisiel that Wayne did for Pathfinder #3's cover that sits above fireplace)

Among the following iconics, who would barely tolerate the other(s) in the same room? Who'd be drinking buddy(ies)?
The iconics are:
Ezren
Harsk
Lem
Sajan
Seltyiel
Valeros

Oh that's right....Lem would have to get a ladder first...
I was genuinely curious about Alahazra, for the sake of her neck(coolness of the hat aside).

does answering fans annoy you? is that why your answers are sometimes cast off and dismissive?
Nope. My answers are sometimes cast off and dismissive when a particular question might annoy me, or perhaps when I think that the question is too silly to deserve anything else. I do try to answer what I perceive as SERIOUS questions without being dismissive.
The questions I find to be TOO silly or unworthy just get ignored.

Nope, unless Sutter sneaks one in.
OTP? I have trouble understanding this acronym. Please rephrase.
Yes. No. Wait, Yes.

I like how Rich comes in here to just be crazed. He has no questions because he knows the answers.
And crank that hurdy gurdy! Because the MONKEYCLOPS will come a trollin' if the sound done stop!

I think you may have missed an earlier - or you chose to avoid it due to it's probing and complex nature (or because it was silly?)
"Is there any chance we will see an insectoid monstrous humanoid any time soon?
Since you mentioned GW - not sure if you played the original Legion of Gold, but something similar to the Buggems, or the Skyzorr'n of GW3's Gamma Base, or even the beloved Aspis drone of the Undercity?
I know these are all closed content but something similar?
And not anti-hero/snake-eyes/zen/Spock-like Thri-kreen, but something actually murderous. Vermin humanoids bent on global domination.
Maybe? "
Are we going to see some kind of social humanoid insect men in Bestiary 2 or an upcoming AP?
-Also-
I asked you thought about a Slavers tribute type module(s) in the past, do you think something like this would better be served as -
A)full reason/plot for AP?
B)Parts of an AP?
C)two or three part modules similar to crypt-mask-city?
I like what you guys did with the missing "stone giants" module in Rise, so I could see the subject of slavers as being good for one or two solid AP installments unless the metaplot was weaved strongly into the whole AP.

people do strange stuff. It could be a cathartic act, or help to mete out his aggression. Who knows? I just notice that some answers seem more curt than others. I mean no hostility of course.
It's like one of those creepy fortune tellers you see at the boardwalk that's all rundown and abandoned. You put in your quarter and ask your question, but who knows how the freaky contraption might reply?
I generally DO enjoy answering questions, though. Otherwise this thread wouldn't be closing in on 2000 posts.
That said... sometimes questions can be annoying or silly or even disrespectful. And other times I answer curtly because there's lots of questions what need answering and I might not have time to go into more detail.

I did miss that earlier one. There'll be several insect/spider/buglike races in Bestiary 2. Some familiar (like the aranea) and some not. Not sure if any of them are monstrous humanoids; one's an outsider for sure. Some might be aberrations.
I've actually not had all that much experience with GW, actually.
As for a Slavers style tribute... we've already got some slavers nods/easter eggs in there, with the slaver ships that work off the coast of Katapesh. Look for the yellow sails!
A slavers style tribute would best be served as a full AP. In fact, the more I think about it, the more into a slavers style AP (as in go bust up the slave lord ring and deal with their crazy bosses) is kind of compelling...
Slavers didn't really have a "missing" adventure really, but the idea still intrigues me... I'm not sure we could really do a "Your stuff all done got taken now escape the dungeon!" type adventure these days, though... That's a trick a game only ever gets to do once.

How were the iconics created? Are they based off pre-exisiting NPCs? Current/former PCs? Through committee? Assigned to a particular person ala "Lisa, I need an inquisitor iconic. Make him a half-orc -- what do you mean a her?" etc.
They were basically created by a few of us getting together and saying "Our fighter should be a human male. Our rogue should be a female elf. Our cleric should be a cool, well-armored Middle Eastern woman." And so on. Then we'd basically send Wayne Reynolds that super short description and he'd do his thing. And when he's done turning our short description into an awesome painting, we get all inspired by the work he did and write up the character's "Meet the Iconics" entry for the blog.

Is there a monster in the Bestiary you think warrants its own supp?
Lots of them.
The top five just off the top of my head:
Aboleths
Rakshasas
Intellect Devourers
Goblins
And, of course, SUCCUBI! But Erik would probably never approve that book, alas, so instead I'll nominate the aasimar as my number 5.

I was almost expecting the one word answer :yes (since it would be funny)
In regards to fiction, I assume character racism towards in game nationals (ie I hate those devil worshiping Chilaxians) is okay. and shouldn't sexism in some areas be normal? I know that males dominate some cultures.
to get to the questions: how would you handle character racism/sexism so that it doesn't sound like the author shares the views?
As a fan of Taldor: Empire in Decline, I have been writing James Bond like fiction set there. (hence my inquiry about pathfinderchronicler.net) What are some good society adventures to hunt down that feature Taldor either in setting or political machination? What if any published modules would be good for this type of research.
What type of submission (fiction and module/game accessory)has been so done to death that you garbage it before reading page 2?

(and here I thought Desna's true love was Shelyn and Sarenrae!)
Last one for me tonight...
Along the lines of the Pathfinder books focusing on devils, demons, etc., will there ever be similar volumes on angels, azatas, archons, etc?
And will aasimar get the same random traits treatment that tieflings got? And if so, can they have weird and strange options like tieflings, considering how weird many celestials are? (just to avoid the stereotype of them all being boring beautiful fair-skinned blondes and nothing but, which is a misconception a lot of people still hold against them)

Has there any thought/discussion on basing a module on one of the iconics' past? Examples include tracking down Merisiel's elven heritage, find out what Amiri really did up north, defend Merisiel from one of her (numerous) enemies, just who/what is Seoni, track down Merisiel for some item she stole, etc.

Aboleth and rakshasas are for sure awesome picks for robeasts that should have their own books.
Tengu would be my third choice. Hail Pazuzu!!

Rakshasas would be kewl, though I think Goodman Games did a supp already.
Isn't there a goblins book already in the works?
Erik would be squeamish about a book on succubi?

I think a Dungeon of the Slavelords would be really hard to pull off nowadays, still the challenges it produced were pretty intense. Maybe willfully surrendering some gear to pass as slaves, or some other hook to try to actually join/infiltrate the slavers?
I guess maybe tying in slavers/denizens of leng would be interesting. I can see it going pretty high up depending on who is really pulling the strings.
Is Paizo planning any 2-3 "series" modules any time soon? I think there was some mention that Godsmouth might be part of a series, not sure if that is the case.
BTW, thanks for answering all these questions. The insights and processes are helpful for me as DM.

How did the Apocalypse come in your Homebrew game?
Also what are some was other then the list below can you think of to end the world as we know it?
Nuclear war, Disease, Magical catastrophe, Alien invasion, killer tomatoes, Some thing with Clowns, zombies, Big monster attacks, stock market crash, eruptions, erospion (it was a big cause of the Great Depression, The re-election of zombie Nixon.
Trying to put together my version of the Apocalypse, also you can answer with just one word, I don't mind.

Three things:
1) As a Tengu, I am honored that you mentioned my kind in your choice of "player races" earlier on in this board. I too hope for a day when the people of the world can learn more of our kind, our great heritage, and stop assuming that the beggar Tengu on this side of Golarion are par for the course.
2) You mentioned much earlier on that in your personal game system that you're constantly working on, it's gone through the 3.0 rule-set, the d20 modern rule-set, and you've now updated it to the Pathfinder rule-set.
With that in mind, what did you consider the toughest part about going from d20 modern to Pathfinder and do you have any advice about doing such a transition?
I ask because I am currently working on updating the d20modern system as a whole to Pathfinder (PFModern Alpha).
3) To that end, do you have any advice for such an endeavor?

how insane is it to think of a lv200 pathfinder campaign?
if one does think of a lv200 game, what happenes at lv200? do we conquer gods? go on multi-plane crusades?
last question; if you were mad enough to play a lv200 game, what would you play as?
After the head 'splodes at level 21, nothing further can hurt you.

The highest I ever heard of was lvl 60-80+. When I worked for the game store my boss the owner knew a bunch of guys in prison. Since the state allows prisoners to own games he would send stacks of D&D books and materials to his friends on the inside for their games. They played highly epic games to keep themselves sane, to give themselves something of a measure of control over even just a tiny aspect of their lives.
