James, a few non serious questions:
1) Is it bad that I get just a teeny bit nervous every time I walk to and from the bus stop and see a car whose license plate says "TPK"?
2) Is it weird that on the same walk, I get a little bit happy every time I see a different car with the plate saying "Lem"?
1) Maybe a little, yeah.
2) Nope! Not at all.

Some World of Warcraft questions, since I've started playing again:
1) Favorite playable race?
2) Favorite faction, that is not tied to a PC race? aka Stormwind for Humans.
3) Favorite city?
4) Favorite zone?
1) Night elf
2) Don't really have one right now
3) Darnassus
4) Un'goro Crater (surprise!)

Do you think it is possible for a ninja/paladin to exist while making good use of most of both classes (and not losing his powers)? The main problem is of course that a paladin has to 'act with honor'.
Poison and lying are pointed out as things a Paladin cannot use, but do you think that there are any other types of 'ninja like' behavior that such a character would have to avoid? Would this kind of character even be able to go for sneak attacks/assassination attacks in the surprise round?
This came up when I was pondering the idea of a monk/ninja/paladin of Irori ;)

Would you watch the BBC if it was on the net?
Unlikely. Because I prefer watching TV on my ginormous TV with the awesome surround sound system than on my computer, whose Apple CinemaDisplay is about 1/3 the size of my TV and whose speaker system has 3 fewer speakers.
Also... I've got over 100 movies in my Netflix instant queue, over 100 in my Netflix physical disc queue, about two dozen episodes of various TV shows waiting for me to watch them on TiVo (that accumulated over the past several weeks while I was scrambling on Runelords and didn't have much time to watch TV)... needless to say all those video games that are piling up unplayed.
AKA: I'm not really "hiring" for new TV shows or stations at this point.

From a strict rules sense, there's no reason you couldn't build a ninja/paladin. I would NEVER allow such a multiclass in my games, though, because it's nonsensical to me, and promotes a "flavor" that I dislike.

Yea, the only possible version of that kind of character that I think would make *some* sense is someone who's trying to use every possible trick in the book to kill extremely evil creatures, lol. Truth be told, an inquisitor would probably fit the role better now that I think about it...

And the more someone builds a character numbercrunching every last tiny bonus possible out of the rules without building upon established campaign lore... the less likely I am to approve a character for my game.

In my defense, this is for a high power game with Gestalt characters and templates, where the GM has a very convenient training ground set up where I could probably get any class I want. I don't let myself seriously think about going for that kind of stuff in a normal game ;)

Like I said... no reason you CAN'T do this by the rules. I'm just saying that in my games I wouldn't allow it, regardless of the power level. It's got absolutely nothing to do with the power of the combo... and everything to do with my personal tastes regarding ninja and paladins. If your GM is cool with it, that's all you need! :-)

The Weird Words (Su) ability of the Sound Striker could use some clarification.
"Weird Words (Su): At 6th level, a sound striker can start a performance as a standard action, lashing out with 1 potent sound per bard level (maximum 10), each sound affecting one target within 30 feet. These are ranged touch attacks. Each weird word deals 1d8 points of damage plus the bard’s Charisma bonus (Fortitude half ), and the bard chooses whether it deals bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage for each word.
This performance replaces suggestion."
If you could shed some light...
1. The wording says that each sound effects a single creature, but is ambiguous over whether a single creature can be targeted with multiple sounds. Seems to me that with the current wording this ability is either way over-powered or way under-powered. If multiple words can target a single creature then the damage would be massive, and ridiculous for what you trade in. If an individual can only be targeted by one sound then your looking at a standard action and a used up round of Bardic Music in order to get a chance at what will likely be less than 10 damage. That's If you hit with the touch attack AND the target fails a fort save. I would appreciate your thoughts.
2. Also, since the ability specifies choosing a damage type can we assume that this particular ability is subject to normal damage reduction?
Thanks in advance!

First off... I'm not sure where the "Sound Striker" comes from.
But here goes:
1) You can "shoot" 1 sound per level. Effectively, you shoot 1/level d8s at the targets. Each single sound (each d8) affects only one target. You can split those d8s up however you want between as many targets as you want... kind of like how magic missile works. This means you CAN shoot them all at one target... but each one has to make its own touch attack, and each one allows for a Fort save for half damage.
2) Yes, the sounds do bludgeoning, piercing, or slashing damage, and are thus subject to normal damage reduction.

Hmm where did this wow talk come from? Welp here's another q for you then: What kind of content are you in to? Questing? Cheevos? PvP? LFR? ULTRABLEEDINGEDGEHARDCORERAIDING?
My preferred WoW content is the questing/exploration element, and the hanging out with friends online element. I used to like PVP but then when PVP became a non-option for hunters I lost interest. I also like the raiding element, but I've had bad luck over the past several years getting into guilds that raid when I'm able to get online later in the evening.

There is indeed a famous (at least famous in Brazil) paladin/ninja in popular culture. In the TV japonese series from the 80s, Sekai Ninja Sen Jiraiya, there is the character of the castle ninja Baron Owl, who is part english and part japonese and is decedent of a crusader family, he is a christian ninja that uses full plate, a broadsword, fight from a warhorse and throws shurikens shaped like a crucifix. In the show he has as paladin like powers (mostly calling his warhorse) as well as basic ninja skills (but he knows how but don't do unchristian things like assassination or backstabing). He was a really complex character with honor above everything and very beloved by the show fans.
(They had almost "ninja" everything as the story was about a war among the ninjas from aroud the world, so there was "ninjas" versions of almost every culture, even a cowboy/ninja from America and a ninja/witch from Europe [good episode, in the end she was really a cursed sword]).So, for a question, would a Paladin/Ninja (like the Baron Owl above) really be that worst than a Paladin/Rogue ? Or a Samurai/Druid ? Or a Magus/Gunslinger ? Do you believe that there is a multiclass that absolutely can't be saved by a really good backstory ?

Tamed any spirit beasts yet? I've got two so far, the Wolf, and the Owl that circles above the Shrine of Malorne, the latter I would not have gotten without the help of some good realm friends. It's the one tame that can't be done without assistance.

Any multiclass combination can be saved by really good backstories. There are some combos that are harder to justify in my mind than others, though, and most of the people I know could not pull off a believable paladin/ninja combo. I'd be MUCH more apt to accept a samurai/ninja. Since in my mind, ninja and samurai, coming from the same history/region/mythology, fit together more nicely than the "knight in shining armor who is a ninja."
Furthermore, in games I run (and thus, implied in Golarion although not necessarily the case) Paladins mostly belong to orders and established religions or philosophies. And there's not an order of paladin/ninjas on Golarion to come from.
And to top it all off, the way the initial question was phrased made it feel to me like the idea had been born from a desire to mash together two compatible class features more than from a cool idea for a backstory... I could have misread it, but my natural reaction when someone asks me if they can do a class combo and I know they're a numbercruncher or I get the feeling they want to do the combo because they think they've found a loophole they can exploit, then I push back and make them roleplay to earn the right to have that class combo.

My hunter tamed a red raptor pretty much the instant she got the ability to train pets at 10th level; had to walk all the way from Darnassus to the Barrens to do so. And while I've idly tamed a few other pets here and there... it's that red raptor that ends up being used 99.995% of the time. I'm not really into alt characters, nor into alt pets.

I can understand that, but i can´t help but feel like if i have a cool idea about a LG Iomeadan Ninja i would be being silly. I know we are all different around the internet, with many cultural backgrounds all meshed together. Paizo worked so hard to make classes more like concepts, even without existing archetypes i can see someone making two paladins barely recognizable as being from the same class. Or can´t exist mwangi paladins because there weren´t knights orders in africa ? Ok, class combos hurt a lot, but maybe what the player want isn´t really a paladin/ninja, but a paladin-like ninja. Even shadows need justice.
For a question, would you like that questions like that said whether the person wants that you comment about the character CONCEPT or the character COMBO ?

And since you specifically call this idea out as an "Iomedean" ninja... that to me sounds even more implausible than before.
When I run a campaign, I put a LOT of work into that campaign in the form of creating the storyline and adventure and world. As a result, one of the things I ask of my players is that they build characters that make sense for the world—to encourage that, I generally provide the players with player's guides to advise them on their choices. If a player wants to play something weird our outlandish (be it an Iomedan Ninja or a Vulcan telepath or an awakened giant chipmunk with two heads), I'll TRY to figure a way out to work that PC into the adventure but in most cases I'll ask the player to, essentially, respect all the work I've put into the campaign by creating a character that isn't built to stick out like a sore thumb. I've said before of world design—you can define a world as much as by what you put IN the world as well as you can by what is NOT in the world. And in games I run... there are no paladin/ninjas.
I'm not talking about games anyone else may set in Golarion. I'm talking about my own opinions and my own games. Which INFORM the baseline of Golarion, but don't necessarily represent the norm in your game or anyone else's game.
AKA: I'm not the one you need to convince to let paladin ninjas be viable... your GM is.

I have a paladin for PFS that became "noncanonical" by way of the publication of the Inner Sea World Guide...because she's a paladin of Pharasma. Up until ISWG, there was no definitive list of which Golarion deities do and do not have paladins. Never mind that paladins by rules as written don't actually have to follow a deity within one step of Lawful Good....but I was OK with playing a Paladin of the Goddess of Prophecy and Rest.
Said paladin has a background that makes sense, and is eventually going to go to Shadowdancer, because one cannot fight darkness simply by standing and waiting for it to come to you - sometimes, you have to go into the places the darkness dwells and be prepared for what you face there. To date, she's hit 4th level without actually KILLING anything that wasn't undead, animal, or evil outsider.
I ask the GM at the table (since it's often a different one each time), if this offends their sense of canonical righteousness; if it does, I swap characters if possible, or downplay her religious affiliation.
She may never actually use the shadow call special ability - summoning a lawful good shadow that doesn't create spawn is still creating undead, and verboten by the deity she follows...which, y'know, she's not allowed to follow...

One of the new areas that was revealed because of the Cataclysm is a ruined Highborne city in the high end of Stone Talon mountains. It's full of undead Highbourne who don't seem to realise the time or that they're dead. I tamed ghost owl there, although the game did not put it into the category of spirit beasts. I'm almost entirely on that bird or the spirit owl. It'd be wonderful if I could get it to fly behind my hyppogryph.

Yea, I guess I could have worded my original post better :D Let me try again:
Basically, my current GM has had a lot of stuff happen in Golarion, and currently getting *any* class combination isn't far fetched in his game. So, that isn't the issue. I was just curious about your opinion on if such a class combination was really playable with the 'code of conduct' stuff without it degenerating into a Ninja/Warrior. Sure, it is possible to have the classes by the raw rules, but when when the code is enforced do you think it would really work out?
