Help on Elven Curve Blade

Lost Omens Campaign Setting General Discussion

Liberty's Edge

This may be posted somewhere else, but I've looked in three different places and found three different answers.

In the Pathfinder Campaign Setting, the Elven Curve Blade costs 24gp, does 2d6 damage and has a crit multiplier of x3.

In the Pathfinder Reference Document on Paizo's site, it costs 80 gp, does 1d10 damage and crits as 18-20 (x2).

In another SRD I found off the paizo site, it costs 90gp, does 1d10 damage and crits as 18-20 (x2).

So which one is it? :)

This is from the core rule book - third printing - page 143.

Curve blade, elven 80 gp 1d8 1d10 18–20/×2 — 7 lbs. S —

Of the three items you listed above only one if from the official Paizo folks for the Pathfinder RPG. The other items were from 3.5 or fan created info. So I recommend using the official PRD and core rule book as they are both in agreement.

Awesome! Thanks for the speedy reply!

I would add to the above, it's an exotic weapon.

I'm tempted to rule that they are all magical weapons to boot. Otherwise, this weapon will turn up as an heirloom weapon left right and centre and your campaign will be quickly overrun with heirloom curved eleven blades that do not require a separate proficiency to use them (by their rightful owner, that is).

They also have "elven" in its name, so Elven characters are granted proficiency with them as a racial bonus.

Steel Wind, I disagree with your interpretation to make them a "magical" weapon, but for a house rule/home campaign, you can do what you wish. Just realize that doing so is neither RAW or RAI.

I'm pretty sure he does realize that. :-p

Sounds "House" to me :-)
